You jolt awake from the darkness. There it is again. The howling. Every night for the past few days you've woken to the sound of dogs howling their pride to the moon. You hate this feeling, this feeling of fear in your own land. You are a Snow Cat! A fierce predator. You should not be quivering in your paws.

Not that you'd admit you are to anyone else in the pack of course.

You look towards the clearing in no-packs land. A while ago you noticed a small pack of Snow Cats moving in. Maybe you should check on them? To make sure they know about the dogs of course.

You decide to wait until morning though.

After all, the dogs strike at night.
