I'm honestly very confused by the art situation. If you sell a character that has art the next person can't just keep art of that character after they sell it and use it whether they include it in the sale or not so why is it different with fr dragons?

If you sell a dragon (or character) that happens to have art, it should be specified by the owner whether it is or isn't ok to use said art or if they'd like extra fund for you to use it.
You may own the dragon, but the art was purchased and technically belongs to the user who paid for the commission rather than the dragon it's attached to

For example, I paid a good amount for a headshot and even if I sold the character I'd really like to keep the art to myself. It's great quality and it's mine to own, not the person who takes the character

That just makes so little sense to me, because why would anyone even want artwork of a character that no longer belongs to them? It's not like you could ever use the art, because the character that's within that art isn't yours anymore. If you sell rights to a character, then you can't keep continue using the character. And using artwork of a character that does not belong to you IS theft and that's... messed up. Sorry, but I'd never do business with a person if I knew that they were doing something like that. I've dealt with character and art theft before, and someone wanting to keep the artwork of a character that is no longer their's sends up huge red flags to me in that regard. Now, FR dragons are different I suppose because there CAN be identical dragons on the site, which I guess that a person could switch artwork to if they found an identical dragon more suitable to their lair for some reason. But original characters? Nope. Like, if I sold Novi (the Hyena in my avatar) and then kept all of his art to plaster onto a nearly identical character, that would 100% be art and character theft in my opinion.

I keep on forgetting to show off some my grown up hatchlings that I've gotten recently! I bet you guys saw some of them when they are hatchlings before and so I think is time to show them all grown up!


first up is.... my water Rep! Poseidon!

next up is Goldie. my golden koi dragon! I am still looking for a silver koi pearlcatcher mate for her! I just hope I have free lair space when I see one! that would be a nightmare! O.o when I saw her in her adult form, it was not long to dress her up.



next is this new comer....Tootsie! I named her after my favourite chocolate bar....I got her from a free adoption dragon thread and because she has my koi gene combination weakness, I did not hesitate to ask to adopt her and welcome her into my lair! all I need to do is to dress her! :3

and also speaking of koi dragons....I put my mirror koi dragon pair in a nest.....they gave me 4 eggs......I might be getting the want to keep one of those hatchlings.....once I can hatch them....I have no lair space with an other nest wait to be hatched...

So I now officially bought my last pair. I actually needed a shadow flight pair of coalts for the lore. Now I'm actually thinking of switching to shadow flight.

Not really a hatchery. Just a fancy dragon sales thread that is center around a "made in abyss" fan lore.
These two are going to be basically the descendants of the first shadow coalts who found and nested in the abyss.
Still needs work.. remaking the title banner. Then just need to add all the lore.

I have a couple of dragons to share who I recently finished geneing and/or dressing up!


I got Nephthys here during NotN. She's a level 25, and I paid a good chunk of treasure for her - 300k I think?
I used her to mine in the coliseum to get the Strange Chests for the event. I'm so glad I had her to help!
She's now a perma dragon in my Coven who enjoys going off on adventures but comes back if the Coven needs her.


For Halloween 2018, I hatched Gwynnabeth. And boy, am I happy with how she turned out!
She started out as a Mirror, but I felt she suited Pearlcatcher better especially with Tapir/Striation.
I absolutely adore her and LOVE how her eyes ended up matching her secondary color PERFECTLY!
She is also friends with my other Halloween hatch, Petraghast!


I also finished geneing and dressing up my boy Panissilles! He was a Christmas 2018 hatch.
I decided to make him a Scout in the Coven, and I figured the Marksman's attire suited his position!
I'm not the biggest fan of green, but I do like minty green. I feel it pairs well with the yellows, too!
