Capitals and vital regions? .3.

This may sound corny, but I have adopted the idea that a country's capital is represented as their heart. |D

-shot-

..IT'S CUTE. <3

Anyways, I finished my projects and started more work on me MEP part. However, I don't believe I have access to the email account, and stuff. I think that's important.^^;

@Lion King
Yeah, I tend to lean towards the idea of capital=heart. Makes sense to me. :P

Also, an update...
France = Frankenfurter (Francenfurter)
Germany = Rocky
Spain = Columbia (redheaded servant)
Prussia = butler
England = Dr Scott
America = Eddie
Austria/Sweden = Brad
Finland = Janet

@Answrs and Co.: I do not know what that movie is, but still cool. XD And you read that story too? *Feels way too happy*

@Rock:... I am going to go bother that person now. They also seem pretty young to me, so it should be quite interesting. (And I just realized that like Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower the Washington Monument is in a capital city. Best part? I've heard jokes from my parents about how the Washington Monument should be a monument to Bill Clinton instead. X] And so I shall argue that with them. Mwahahaha...)

@Simba: I like your idea, but for some reason I just prefer capitals as being vital regions, at least when it's joking around. Seriously? I don't really think of any part of a country specifically being like that. It's all the country's land and important to it in some way, so why would one part be specified as that sort of 'vital region'? Capitals being their hearts makes slightly more sense in that serious context, though there's still the issue of when a country is most certainly still alive but its capital has been taken over or when the government is in exile/moves its capital/similar events (I think of Taiwan with that, as the government of China used to be the Republic of China (ROC) up until the People's Republic of China (PRC) defeated it in the late 1940s-early 1950s and the ROC was driven into Taiwan).

@Answrs: Yeah. \D

@Simba: Do you know what days you are going to AX? Euh. If Lucky doesn't return from house 'o fanclub members, I'll forward you the PM with all the info for the email. :3

@Kitty: Oh, be my guest. xD I see that you're starting this conversation in more-or-less the way I did. ALSO, your history knowledge makes me feel quite ashamed. Now I want to start my AP Euro summer homework and start outlining the textbook. e-e (And I only got /out/ of school today. *sob* Maybe if I get bored tommorow)

And that fanfic, with the mental hospital, was abso-lutely-flipping-amazing. *totally read it all in one sitting*

@Kitty- Very interesting idea, indeed. ^^ I never really thought about it quite like that.

@Rock- I don't think I'll be there the first two days for Archery Camp purposes. c: I'm trying to go one of the last two.

Oh and Lore PM'd me the info, so we're all good. ^.^

Anyways, just finished an awesome fic for once. |D I'm proofreading it now so I can possibly get it up this weekend. 8D

@Simba: You finished a fic? Nice! (I have yet to finish one of my fanfics yet, hur de hur hur.) And it's good that you got that info then. Interested in seeing your section!

@Most of ya (XD): What can I tell ya? I originally started reading the webcomics because the person who sat next to me in AP US History was into anime and kept on mentioning Hetalia. Also, the power of Wikipedia for most history-related things is great. Just don't use it for religion or politics. XD I also like to read lots of stuff all over the place and recently a plot bunny attacked me while I was reading a book on the 1950s in the US, which had the Korean War in it. This led me to researching about the Korean War (by starting on Wikipedia), which had an interesting piece on the USSR not liking the PRC taking the ROC's spot on the UN Security Council, which led me to wonder about when that switch in governments happened. X] (Plus I'll be a Senior in high school come this summer so I have the advantage of age, mwahaha. However, ask me anything about Africa beyond Ancient Egypt and the Apartheid or anything on South American history and I'll be clueless. XD)

@Rock: Heh, I did start out like you. I think she thinks we're the same person or something. Then she accused me of trolling and didn't answer my question. How disappointing. (Her signature is actually getting on my nerves. Stop fangirling over England and answer my question, dang it. X]) And yes, Folie a Plusiers is quite amazing. I read it when the author couldn't have reliable access to a computer, so when she finally updated after a couple of months I quite literally squealed in joy. She's pretty good. :]

Agreed. I personally prefer to think of their vital regions as parts of their body that it hurts if they are destroyed/taken over.
(Man, that makes no sense. XD)
Also--yay! You finished your fic! =D Please tell us when your MEP part is posted.

I'll let this and this explain it.

It was lovely. I seriously enjoyed it with a passion. X3
Now, time for me to find some epictastic audio from it on YouTube.
Edit: Found it. XD

Ooh, interesting. =D (Aww, you'll be a Senior? I'm sad. One of my friends who likes APH IRL is a Senior too. I hope you'll be here in College; CS, I mean. Still, congrats on that! I'll be a Sophomore! =D) I use Wikipedia for historical stuff too. It's actually fairly spot-on most of the time.
As for me, I got into APH when one of my crazed hardcore yaoi fangirl (fujoshi is too light a term for her) told me that she'd loved it, thought it was cute, and that I was a total America (which she was totally off on--I'm more of a self-proclaimed Canada, Liet, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, England and a slight bit of America all rolled into one, IMHO), and when I asked her how he was, she said something along the lines of, "Well, he's loud, obnoxious, awesome and annoying." XD
"Well," I'd replied, a little ruffled by the comparison, "who are you, then?"
"I'm France." She grinned.
"How's he?"
"He's a fabulous perv."
I took that in. "...I see it, man, I see it."
XD
(Sorry for the fanfic/novel-like dialog, I just didn't know how else to do it without it getting kind of cumbersome with "And she was like"s and such.)

Eh, I dunno. To me, "vital regions" is a touchy subject to figure out completely. In some ways, vital regions are... Yeah... But in others, this doesn't necessarily make sense. Take the part in Hetalia when Prussia steals Austria's vital regions, and Hungary demands that he give them back. If stealing vital regions means stealing... Things... Then how exactly would one give then back? I've never really figured out how that works... But... |D

Imma be a junior next year. Gwagh, high school's half over... Scary...
(And I feel proud to have "acronymed" your names. XD

@Simba- Ooh, ja! Be sure to finish proofreading soon and post here when it's up! I'd love to read it~ ^^
Which reminds me, I need to get back to writing my multichapter detective-y fic soon...

Also, to whoever is fighting the whole idea of Florida being p***, please. Succeed. I beg of you. Even if it requires severe historical analysis and epic Phoenix Wright pointing.
