Is it normal to get two dragons of a different species when joining for the first time?

My sister has joined and she chose a Fae and when it gave her her second dragon, it was a tundra. I’m just curious as to if it’s normal or not since I got two Mirrors and my friend got two Tundras.

It's randomized, so yes it is normal. I chose a fae and got a guardian when I joined.
