please please please do draw him! it doesn't matter if you think it will be 'as good' as what i drew.... no matter what your skill might be, it will still be BEAUTIFUL!
don't let something as trivial as skill stop you from drawing... you should be saying, "I'm going to draw him better than you are!" or something! it's all about motivation! say that and you'll improve 395483205930 times faster than if you say "oh god i would draw that but it won't be as good..."
