oof, apparently dave bautista [drax] is threatening to leave the marvel franchise/guardians of the galaxy if marvel doesn't use gunn's script for gotg3 [source]. what are your guys' thoughts on this?

Dave has to stay! I loved him in the Guardians movies,
and especially Infinity War! He works perfectly as Drax with his improv, and his general acting and understanding of the character. I couldn't imagine the guardians without him! I understand where his intentions are coming from, but he shouldn't leave the storyline without a proper explanation during the films, or a better reason to abandon the franchise. Drax shouldn't just stay dead! We need Dave Bautista as Drax! Sure he's been loyal to his former director, but that doesn't mean he should drop out completely. First Gunn, now Bautista? I personally think he should stay to continue the work in the Guardians, and just the MCU in general!

Are you me? I think you're me. Because that has been my sole thought for weeks. Denial all the way.

This morning I let out a massive sigh and my sister said: "Is it Loki again?"

She knows me so well.

But seriously though: they kind of have to bring him back if they're keeping Thor for phase 4 I mean Thor literally has no one - come on now.

I like that he's standing up for what he believes, but I do hope he stays with the team. Maybe they'll be able to use the script, even if Gunn isn't directing the movie. I can't imagine Drax as anyone else though, I do wonder what will happen to the character if he isn't on board anymore. Maybe he will be recast, but it's hard to imagine anyone doing the part like Dave can. It's a tough situation.

oh lets just say it was entertaining.
i mean loki had her shook, like gripping the seat hand over mouth shook.
(had to close her eyes for a bit)
she laughed at the comedic parts, and smiled a little bit.
i hadn't told her anything, and she's been pretty good w/ avoiding spoilers.
i watched her the entire time people began to fade, and it was like you could practically watch as she began to realize what was happening.
as we approached the spiderman scene you could legit see her terror.
i'm really glad i brought tissues lol.
the theater wasn't really packed only a few other people so it wasn't that big of a melt down but as soon as we got home she just kinda went silent and went to her room.
my family just decided to let her sob it out in her room. she's a really emotional person.
goodness.
anyway, lets just say i won't be seeing any sad movies with her. ever.

Entertaining? XD that sounds crazy. It was really great that you did bring tissues. I can relate to her just going up to her room and sobbing it out. You probably shouldn't see any more sad movies with her, but now she definitely has to see A4 when it comes out.

james gunn makes great dialogue, imo. it has to stay

Gunn's scripts are great, and so it Bautista's acting and improv. He needs to stay, but they should also keep the script. The script didn't do anything wrong :3

Aw no, not Dave too! Drax may not be a character I pay attention to much, but I still love him and all, and it would suck for him to leave. I met him personally at comic-con, and gosh, he's such a fun person.

I feel like he needs a better reason to leave as well, because leaving would mean recasting, killing Drax, or putting the character into hibernation - which doesn't seem ideal considering the conflicts already happening within the franchise.
