At the beginning of a dom battle its not uncommon for people to buy cheap fodder and hold it. I do it for wind when we actually go for dom. Certain people have most of their lair devoted to doing that.

Ehh, I didn't really like them anyways. but if someone buys my Sardonyx babies just to exalt...well thats not right

I'm only going to sell unwanted hatchlings from now on, since I regret selling my cyan crackle wildclaw (which was exalted) since i had no space

and a moment to realize that dragons I really love such as Pearl, Sapphire and Jasper (what beautiful names) were probably meant to be exalt fodder...
