How we came to be us

Our side of the world is a large RPG in the making. You will be able to learn
more about it later on/below. We came to be a thing quite randomly, really.
I was browsing forum games (specifically the create your own...) games. I had
a want for a new role play, and the forum I was browsing gave me the idea of
making it a series or role plays so to speak. I was intent on doing this soon, and
plotting out the idea, making it a thing. First, this forum needed created first.
This forum is a fan club, but also doubles as a place to gather info on the overall
idea and also a place to find all the different 'Our side of...' role plays. While
our community is still growing, all of us here hope you have fun, above all else.

We would really like to welcome you to the community, but don't know a proper
way to do so. So I guess we'll just keep it both simple and traditional. Welcome!

A little bit about us
Some topic iformation

Our side of the world is a large RPG in the making, but I've already said that.
Let's talk more about exactly what our side of the world, though. Our side of
the world is an RPG focused around animals and sometimes people. Both can be
incorporated into the role plays as well, though. The role plays will be mostly made
up of realistic role plays, though a fantasy may come in every once in a while. I will
tell you right now, though, that there will never, ever be fandom based role plays.
Those do not belong here. As we are planning on having multiple role plays under
this topic/thread/idea, whatever you want to call it, we will be hiring some mods.
You'll hear more about hiring and positions in a later section of this post, though.
My point was, each role play will most likely have a different creator. But they will
all look similar. There will be a formatting standard so to speak. But I digress. I
should be telling you more about what this is, and not other stuff. I am getting way
too far ahead of myself. As far as our community goes, we are very new and are still
growing our community. I'll talk about becoming a member ans such later, though.
I need to go ahead and stop this section before I get too far ahead of myself. XP

How you can help
Support our "cause"

As we are still new, there are many ways to help! But this
being so new also prevents a problem; we have little to no
info on the ways you can help. You can become a mod or a
member. However, we don't have much info on what either
of these are and/or what they require. I will have this info
up soon, but be patient, please. It may take a while to do.

Become a Mod
What IS a mod?

As a mod, you have several responsibilities. You have the
generic role of the mod; keeping everyone in check and
make sure all of the rules are upheld. However, you have
more than that here. It can take a while to do, honestly,
but as a mod, you are also responsible for making and
sometimes maintaining new role play threads. Those last
two sound like a lot of work. And yes, they kind of are.
That is why we divided the staff/mod positions into
several positions. But if you want all of these responsibilities,
you can apply for the all-inclusive mod position. The
mod positions are now divided into four new positions;
writer, regular mod, Up-keeper, and thinker. Oh, and there
is also the all inclusive mod I had mentioned above, too.

Now, let's go into what the different positions do specifically.
After reading all the descriptions, a form will be provided for
you. You will have to PM me, as it ensures I don't skip over
your application, and it also keeps our forum(s) clean. There
will soon be a discussion forum/archive for the players, and
a trusted mod will be able to make and/or maintain it. But I
can explain this more in the mod section(s) below, can't I?

Writer//Author
As a writer you will be in charge of writing the role plays. To
ensure that you do the best job you can, we let you pick the
topic. Well, the topics come from the 'thinker mods', who
come up with all the role play ideas. If you would like to both
come up with your topic and write it as a role play, then you
should apply for both positions. After writing the rp, pm me it.

As a writer mod, you have a few specific requirements in order to
obtain the position. As a mod, you need to do/have the following:

• Small/basic coding skills
• Proper grammar
• Story writing experience (professional experience not required)
• Must be in high school or graduated from high school
• Must have/have had all passing report card grades in writing so far
• Must be kind, and creative
• Must enjoy writing
• Must have good work ethic (finish what you started as quickly as possible)
• Must be able to take constructive criticism/feedback
• Must be semi-patient

Maintenance Mod
As a maintenance mod, you are in charge of
posting and maintaining the rp threads. You
will be receiving PMs from me that contain
the coding for the role plays and all the info
you will need to post and maintain the rp...

What's a member
How to become one

Members are our dedicated followers and role players
They have assured staff positions, meaning that if they
applied for a staff job, they would be first looked at,
and will always be accepted, unless they meet only
2-3 or less of the requirements for that position. As
long as they meet meet at least four, they will get a
position. These people are also highly regarded in our
community here, and so are treated with high respect.
They are first considered for alpha, leader, etc. positions
in role plays. However, as we respect everyone here at
Our side of the world, we will not remove anyone else's
position(s) just to give our members a job/role.

If you want to become a member, there is an application.
However, just like the mod positions, you must meet the
requirements. We must like you. But hear me out on
this part. You don't have to be our friend. When we say that
we must like you, it means that we need to consider you...

• Must be Respectful
• Must be Kind
• Must follow all the rules
• Must role play a lot ( at least 4 days of the week)
• Must role play successfully in two or more role plays
• Must have 3 or more successfully role-played characters

(Please note that if you only meet a few of the position requirements and a re a member, you will not have a large role in your job, but you are still ensured a position. You may have more restrictions)
