That was actually an intentional choice by the staff since the coding for the AH allows you to search for named and unnamed dragons. It would mess up their system if they allowed naming while the dragons were listed.

Like Sin said, it is very possible for this to occur. In addition to breed change scrolls, there are also scatterscrolls that randomly change the dragon's colours. Scatterscrolls aren't the case here since the dragon parents have a range that can produce the nocturne's colours.

You can change the breed of dragons with scrolls.
As for the colors. Dragons can provide a range of colors when breeding, it's very possible for hatchlings to not have similar colors to their parents.
