Is it only me? I never understood why gen1s are worth more to users than e.g. gen65s.
I really don't care whether my drakes have a "parents: none" or 3 or 0 or 700 drakes in ther offspringlist, I only care about the breed and the genes .-.

I mean I love my 2 gen1s, but it's because I created them and they are my first drakes.

I really don't like these user-made-demand things because I don't feel for it.

I have first gens in my lair. Some finished, some projects.
Its nice to have the start of a blooddline. To have a basic dragon and give it genes to make it pretty. And you dont have to watch out findjng a mate, it can breed with any dragon on fr.
I have a special connection with them.
I love my other dragons with lots of relatives too, but my gen ones are a little more special because i gened them.
Sure, youcan do that with others too, but it wont increase the value.
Not that a gened gen1 is worth tons... i got one for 50k not too long ago.

personally i Love the fun of geneing up a gen 1
Spending those gems or treasure and just being so proud of what you've created in a way
Plus a lot of my gen 1smean something to me or I have a connection with in a way

Which does actually bring me to a question :
When is the best time to bid in a gen1 auction?
Because I'm part of the bidding in an XXY Sanguine/Orchid gen1 auction and it's only been a day and a half since the auction opened and bids have already hit 18kg worth [most people are bidding in items with a little pure]
Now for context the last Sanguine XXY went for 30kg but he had a gold coloured tert so fit the whole madness of the skink/spinner craze. Therefore I can't see the bidding going too much higher but if I bid now there's still three or four more days until the auction ends. So my question is bid now and if I get beat see what I can raise extra or wait until the last day and join in the madness that may ensue

I never had the coincidence to buy a dragon that is related to my others.

Yes, that was my point. You won't gene your gen56, because it won't make it more valueable. Only because of the usermade-demand that gen1 are worth more^^

You see my point? I critizise that a gened dragon with "parents: none" is worth 5-10 times more than a gened dragon with "parents: Cody x Peja"

It's just something I thought about the last weeks/month, don't want to bother anyone!

And tbh this is one reason why I prefer CS over FR --> here you also have demand but you have raritys and on FR the drakes's values are completely usermade and in most cases I don't agree with it because it's not my taste^^

i have this g1 that's been sitting in my lair for 10 months, he's eggplant/pink/black (i genuinely love his colours!!) but i just cba to gene him. would anybody be interested in him / what price do u think he would go for?
