Favorite treat of the year: I was looking for this dog for awhile! ^v^
Favorite costume of the year: Really loved this costume, I found the concept of it very unique and beautiful. :3 I also loved this costume: I the scenery items and the costume is adorable!

What about everyone else? :3 I'd put down my favorite story too,
but that might make this post too long.

I do think we either did a better job getting the idea across that people needed to keep track, or they just stopped openly saying they don't keep track. For several years I've been telling people to do so, and up till this year, we'd be getting people all the time mentioning how they don't 'bother' to keep track or stuff like 'I'll remember their name/avatar/sig' despite that fact that people change those all the time (especially for Halloween). I've really be trying to crack down on it, not sure what else I can do to encourage it though. I know its a bit work work to do so, but its also necessary, and hey you're getting free stuff for a month.

On responding, I'll admit I've been behind on some of them. I work 3 days a week, and have college classes the other 4 days, and in general I'm just pretty busy this year (oh and trying to do a bit of art for tokens right now too c': ). I've also noticed a bit of an increases in messages over the past day, I guess everyone is trying to get in the last few ToTs before the end of the game. I never actually bothered to check back on those that didn't respond to me, though I did keep track of them. Its not a big deal for me since I tend to get a few common hoard pets in treats I receive since my wishlist is basically just full of easily obtainable hoards (which I love to get so no complaint here).

Honestly, I'd be happy to get any suggestions for improvements on things you've noticed problems with this year, generally I like to get those through PM so I can discuss them more lengthily with you. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for your opinions on this as well! Its good to hear them especially since I can't trust that my own experience is the normal one, so I can get a better idea of what we need to focus working on next year.

honestly I LOVED my method of keeping track this year.. on my trade thread, I made a reply & I quoted the list of particpants - when I visited someone, I deleted their name/link & if someone allowed repeats, I moved them to the top of the thread with the conditions (once a day/once a week last visited date/one more time/etc)

when new people were added, I just quoted, found where I left off and added them to my list

I had SO many repeat triers this year, I feel like as more people are "allowing" repeats, it's assumed by the newer players that that is normal. I mean I had a ToT on the 30th that resent barely 24hrs later.

I personally use a GoogleSheets 'form' to keep track and have for the past 2 years now, I've slowly been trying to perfect it and I think it's near perfect! Maybe you could offer a template of this to players for their own use with very simple instructions? That way people that aren't excel savvy still have an efficient way to track without having to come up with it themselves. I know a couple other people have said they use GoogleSheets or Excel.

I saw that last little spurt too! I planned on sending out a whole bunch by going through the ones that had their lights off whenever I'd previously tried but sort of passed out after work yesterday and didn't get home early enough today xD.

I would love to use that spreadsheet. This year I simply copied and pasted all the names which took awhile and was time consuming for me.

I use Excel to keep tabs on who I've visited and who's come to me.

For who I visit, I copy the list by highlighting it and pasting it into Excel, adding to the list as it grows by pasting new names at the bottom. If I visit the person, I highlight the cell with a pale blue, then I sort the cells so all highlighted cells are on top, leaving all unvisited people on the bottom. Since the names are all hyperlinked, I can just click the names in Excel to visit people, and as long as I remember to highlight the name after I send the message, I never run the risk of accidentally hitting the same person twice.

To keep tabs on people who visit me, I use a new book in the same Excel worksheet (the little tabs at the bottom) and just write the username in a cell. I know if I have a repeat visitor, because when I try to enter a name that's already in the spreadsheet, the cell will auto-fill with the name.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm gonna try out some major remodeling on the main thread layout for next year, and when I'm done I'd love to get some opinions on what you guys think, if its easier to read/understand/etc, it would be really helpful for me so I don't have to wait till next year to find out if people hate it.

If you are interested in taking a peek at that, I plan on posting a link here when I'm done, so just keep the thread bookmarked/keep and eye on it. Or you can PM me and ask that I notify you when I get it done ^^

I've been reading all the comments so far and its part of what I'm gonna try to take into account with this, so if anyone has further suggestions specifically about the main thread's formatting, I'd love to hear that as well!

    Thank you!

I've had a lovely time playing this year - although my only complaint is people who don't say thank you when they've received a treat.
It really makes me mad, as I didn't have to send a treat, and it only takes a few moments to type thank you!
Anyhoo - I've had some really lovely treats this year, although I'm unsure of whether I will continue to participate due to lack of gratitude from some ;n;

I had loads of fun in LoLo this Year, I sent out 157 Treats and 0 Tricks
I planned to send out 200 treats, but sadly not enough peoples found my door xD

the only thing that bothers me a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit is that when the treats get accepted is SOMETIMES not a friendly reply or none at all! maybe we should make a reply form or something next year?
