Nope, grandparents don't get taken into account. If you breed 2 bogs no matter the lineage you will get a bog.

Whew. Back when I had just joined FR, and was only just getting into using the coli and training up my first team, I got a chest drop that, as a naive new player with no understanding, I immediately opened. I was shocked when inside there were gems! I couldn't for the life of me remember what the name of it was, and from time to time I would search the AH for what I thought it was called. Now 2 years latter I have never gotten another one, never heard of it mentioned anywhere, or seen it in the AH. Until tonight. It's real! Glimmerscale baskets are real!!!!!

I cant remember(not 800 thats for sure), but it was the first scale basket I got, and I got the regular ones after, and opened them. I was so confused about why I got treasure and not gems XD
