But then there's Christmas Eve Party..

Just went on an hour walk, and it went really well!
Caught 2 meowths, a vulpix, and evolved my eevee
into vapereon!

I also hatched two 5km eggs and two 2km eggs, The
most notable was a Sandshrew from a 5km, and I
somehow managed to hatch a Pikachu from a 2km
which was pretty flipping awesome ;u;

That brings my Pikachu count up to 2, including the
festive one!

Well, on a last minute trip for Christmas shopping, I /finally/ got my festive Pikachu!!
I'm glad they've extended everything; I've got some catching up to do when I get my service back.
Not being able to walk through my neighborhood and hatch eggs is setting me back, dangit! I already started the game like a month and a half behind everyone else, xD
((I was able to get the Pikachu by using the Wifi of the McDonalds in the Wal-mart. heheh.))

Yup you can get festive pikachus around christmas time - they are the same as normal pikachus, just with a hat and can evolve into festive raichu. They have also added the "baby pokemon" from gen2, but you can only find them in eggs so far. And there are a couple event things going on around the holiday time:

As you visit PokéStops during this time period, there will be a greater chance of finding Eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and several other recently found Pokémon, originally discovered in the Johto region. Special Pikachu wearing festive hats will also be staying around a bit longer! You are more likely to find these limited-edition Pikachu during the time period of this celebration.

Today was a good day for me!

I caught 3 festive pikachus, a dratini, and finally a ditto!

Is this something about the holidays? I've catched a CP 2610 Snorlax, then a CP 1130 Dragonite. There's so many rare Pokemon now..
I'm so excited for the event of a higher chance to hatch Togepi, I still didn't have him and all my 5km aren't 2nd Gen, AHH
I've got two 5km incubatibing, wish me luck!
