Crescendo is the reed player as she wants to make music with something from her homeland. She's a great musician and she crafts the instruments (she's also reeeaaaallllly hard to dress).
Norwine is based of a good RL friend of mine (he got a kick out of finding out he's a dragon in my lair too) and since he's a trumpet player in real life it's only befitting to give his dragon likeness the similar coronet.
Apollo is named after the greek god of the sun, plague, music, the list goes on. He's a light dragon to signify his affiliation to light and the sun and he now has the classic harp as well to make that connection to music. Unfortunetly his mate can't hear his music but she's very supportive nonetheless.
So you may be wondering why my spy has an instrument. First of all she's my Pi Day dragon and so I connect all things round to her as well as things that sound like pi. That's why she's a sPIral who's a sPI. Her name is Corona which has significance and she plays in a band which also has a definition of being a loop of material. Circular things aside she sometimes uses her in with the group to book gigs that, unknowingly to the others, really is a means of infiltrating lairs.
