I was looking at some theories on W.D. Gaster and found something interesting.
Most theories talk about his name being a combination of the fonts Wing dings and Aster.
But other than fonts, there is also a family of flowers under the abbreviation of Aster, and it consists of a lot of yellow/golden flowers... Golden flowers have a large significance in undertale, so it could definatly be possible that there could be some connection here too.
Idk, just found that interesting.

Continuing on the subject of Gaster; as I had mentioned the start of his theme is Lavander Town from pokemon slowed down by 70%.
Ive been trying to figure out if Toby is hinting he has anything to do with Creepypasta. Which I recommend that you don't look up creepypasta no matter who you are. a horror story is a horror story.
Lavander Town was said to make people go insane no? Then maybe, Gaster has done something and made his followers or... Maybe, he made Chara go insane. Think about it. Chara never wanted to kill anyone. They were 'upset'. Yet, they gained a family in the end. Perhaps Gaster did something to Chara that made them go insane, and attempt to kill every living being. And maybe due to whatever Gaster did Chara threw him into the Core, shattering him across time and space.


Just a theory.

For some reason I find that AU idea really cute ;w;
I can't make cute or even normal AU's for the life of me, most either end up being weird or strangely disturbing...
And a perfect example of this is underleg >w<
It's strange how fast that AU idea went from being a joke about Mettaton's legs to a AU that could probably be classed in the horror genre as quick as it did.

I'm making a comic on Drawcast about it, but probably won't be able to directly link a few pages, as I haven't even made them yet know they're gonna be gory o.O

Also, about monster kid... I had to kill him off in the AU... I feel bad now.
I mean, he couldn't survive without legs, could he?

Maybe Gaster isn't really evil or insane, maybe he is misunderstood and everyone assumed he was but he wasn't? Or worse... he became what they expected of him.

Yes, but that's a Myth. I have the original games, it's just annoying if you stay in the town. I only said it is said that it makes people go insane.
Anyways, the music always happens to be linked to the charcater. Why would Toby would give a character an soundtrack with bad history? Unless the charcater did something terrible...

That is a good assumption, but normally Undertale's characters have a mind of their own, breaking the fourth wall isn't uncommon, so I think that the whole history of the song would be more important, rather than the normal bad reputation it gets, and proving the myths true. This is just my thoughts on the matter, so it could go either way.

Yes, but at least we agree the song is very important. Also, I have first hand knowlage that the area Lavander Town was played in, pokemon physically died. The history of that theme is so dark, I thought if Gaster had some of it... He had to be linked to something in his past through that music, and it wasn't the nicest story either.

You have a good point, the area itself is pretty dark. From what I know, Toby Fox is an avid gamer, so something like this being connected to Gaster's past doesn't seem strange for him to do.
