Well, since the general population dislikes the gene, I'm gonna be the odd one out. I love it! I think it is really cool. You could even say it redefines how we look at dergs and how we can gene them. Usually you think of a derg as being made up of three genes, that all are very apparent and easy to see and disinguished. But Stained. It's like a filter. Stained isn't visible anywhere, but it adds everywhere, if that makes any sense. I think this gene has the potential to make dergs with horrible terts better, by adding just a slight glow. I've poked around and I've found some really nice applications of it.

some users think this girls tert is horrable and doesnt work with her, but i love how her tert works.

I've looked at a few more examples of dergs with stained as a tert, and I've come to the conclusion that there is potential with some dergs, but not all of them. It entirely depends on the colors of the derg's primary and secondary genes as well as how well the tert will look.

I can see it working well as a specific color with some of my babies, but there is no way I am paying that kind of price o.o

So looking at Heron with stained i started to wonder what it looks like on other tripples and long story short i now have a dream dragon, triple obsidian with good genes -.- rip my soul while i try and find it, lets just be glad iam not picky about if its a gen one or not.
