you know what has anyone ever given thought to undertale and the time period everything occurred?

we know that the events of the game occur in the year 201X, but what about the war between monsters and humans ??

its impossible to actually insert undertale into human history and still have everything perfectly explainable, but some elements there are kind of curious. like, how does anime even get into the underground when anime came about in the 20th century ?? its probably a running gag because the creator seems to like anime but [shrugging emoji]
