Lights On Lights Off Official Fanclub

Some of the "lights on/off" in people's signatures are so hard to find! I feel like it takes me longer to find that than it is to get my trick or treat message sent out haha!

I love when people leave another short little story after you gift them (the trade message). If I wasn't on my phone, I would write one for myself to use! I have 3 different stories I have saved for easy use; one for when I trick people (have yet to do so), one for when I give a wishlist pet or items (my preference), and one for if I have nothing on their wishlist (or if all I have is like, a 2015 VC) and have to send something random that I hope they might like. I'll have to work on a "thank you" story for myself tomorrow when I can get on my computer!

I've been fortunate to not have people trick me after I treat them ... but I've also been fortunate enough to have people who trick me try to ToT me right after. It's only happened like, six times, but each one is a trick right back!

Otherwise, I just give them pets.

I usually just keep in mind that some users are running out of things to send and truly trying their best to treat as many people as possible. It does kind of bother me sometimes, but I don't like to make assumptions and just automatically trick back since some people are newer or don't have any of my WL pets.

Me too! I have a couple stories saved, obviously - My trick-or-treat story and then a treat story, and my trick has two alternate endings depending on how much I like the story the trick-or-treater sends me.

This event is really fun, I have to agree. It's the first time I've ever played and I have a blast.

This event is really fun, I have to agree. It's the first time I've ever played and I have a blast.

For me, I just have a whole bunch of different treat stories and one trick story.

Anyways, I'm really liking the event so far, mainly because I like the reactions I get most times XD. I try to gift at least a wishlist UC or two (older uncommons for those with short wishlists)~ I've only gotten a few UCs myself, most of the rest have probably been common or less, but that's okay, because most were missing outcomes I'd need to get later anyways ^^"

I try to gift at least a wishlist uncommon or two to each person I treat (older uncommons for those with short wishlists), but I can't say I've gotten the same.. 90% of my treats have probably been common or less, but that's okay, because most were missing outcomes I'd need to get later anyways ^^"

I try for older wishlist or less common. If it's something recent (if they have a short wishlist), then I try to give them at least 3-4 recent wishlist. If I give something really common, it's an older pet (have a 2011 OMGSC wishlist to one person).

I feel bad giving lousy gifts but Some people have tiny wishlists, it makes it hard. But I always try to gift well unless I really get swamped, my light will probably stay on because I like gifting people I just got started tonight though, so I haven't done much!

Haha, same! I shoot for older or less common things.. So far, I've only had a couple people whose wishlists weren't compatible with what I had, and I gave them older UCs.. Hopefully they can use them to trade for similar pets they do need, or maybe art like I use some of mine for ^^:

I can't keep my lights on because I probably won't be home much this week (I volunteer at an animal clinic & the other volunteer that usually helps may or may not be there thurs/fri, so I may have Sat, or I may have Thurs-Sat XP), but when I'm home & online I try to leave them on as much as I can.. Not like I get a lot of traffic, I just started too lol

I am seriously thinking of turning my Lights Off for the first time ever.
I am getting a little upset that users are knocking on my door and I am treating everyone, yet when I knock back I get a trick
somebody even accused me of visiting twice and banned me? (They really got mixed up)
I normally don't mind as I have a great collection of pets and such. But............... why are some people so rude?I have recently been gifting rares, VRs, Store Pets, pets from 2009 up and am still just getting simple "thanks".
Thank goodness for those wonderful polite players of LOLO that take the time and energy to get excited, just as I do when someone - anyone - gifts me a WL Pet!

Awww that stinks. Sorry you are having a rough time. I have noticed today that maybe 25% Of people have their lights on. I feel like there are going to be a lot of people this year who never turn their lights on, but will go through the whole list to be gifted. This is because maybe half the people who have PMed me have their lights off to "catch up" but wouldn't you catch up first and then go trick or treating?

Meh, just glad I enjoy gifting more than receiving! Though I have gotten some splendid gifts today! This is also my first day, so maybe it was just a slow day! I'm still having fun anyways, some great costumes and stories out and about!

I really only send out WL pets and items. I'm lucky enough to have been able to do so for most people so far.
