How did you react when you got your first viscet?
I was soooo happy! Pink viscets are so rare, so I applied for a viscet hoping for a runner up.

What really drew you in to the species?
The people, definitely. I prefer horselike traits in a species, but the community here really draws you into the species.

Character Development is key! I cannot express this enough. You need to develop a good character. Coding doesn't really need to be, as normally, a form with good character development will win it. But, having some relationships, not always romantic, does help as well, as it does show how your character works with others.

How did you react when you got your first viscet?
I was so excited when I got Jonas, mostly because is suprised me so much. I was literally screaming when I saw I had won that babe.

What really drew you in to the species?
Oh, two things really. I first saw my first babe ( Jonas ) and loved how close they resembled wolves, as well as raptors. ( two of my most favorite things. )
But, what really sealed the deal, was how willing everyone is to help you. These people are so nice, and always willing to help you in any way yhat you need.

Like most of the others have already stated, I'd say character development is the most important thing.


How did you react when you got your first viscet?

Kirin was an RU but my reaction to seeing that I'd gotten one was actually pretty amusing. I nearly fainted, sat there gaping like a fish and spent the next several minutes just staring at the post. Once I actually saw Kirin for the first time though, I was instantly in love and spent the rest of the day on developing them.


What really drew you in to the species?

Part of it was the community. Everyone here is pretty easygoing, friendly and overall welcoming to other people. It was nice, a peaceful atmosphere where I could relax and feel comfortable. The second thing was the Viscet design. I love how they resemble raptors more so than the typical mammalian species. They are also quite fun to draw. XD

Any tips for non-owners trying for viscets? Or details one might need to take into consideration?
what details? Well for my competitions I'm usually looking for creativity. That doesn't mean you have to make it super crazy or convoluted but I do like to see less of "emo stereotype and has a dark past" and more of the "good and bad life but aspires to be more" or inspiring stories. I'm personally an optimist and love happy ending. I know life isn't all happiness and sunshine but I think weighing out the good and bad aspects in a character rounds them out. Also putting your true effort in is important. I see so many forms that have potential but fall short because they didn't put in the extra effort - they just put enough in to get by. Basically, if they give you an extra, or extras - fill them out and try to impress us. It'll help you so much to go the extra mile rather than just the bare minimum. c:

what drew me? Well.. actually you can blame Strudel. She saw these little buggers when they were still in the single digits and really drew a liking to them. I wasn't super into them yet but when she got onto the artist team and started showing me all of the viscets and kept enthusing about them I started to get an interest in them as well. So you can blame Strudel <3
