okay so how do you tell the rarity of dragons? and what does 'exalted' mean? I'm v. confused I just joined today so XD
and I joined wind, is that a bad one? XD I can see that it doesn't seem very popular

I usually search google or wikipedia or something of how many people have that dragon. And exalted means give away your dragon for treasure

Dragon rarities? As in breed rarities, gene rarities or colour rarities?
And 'exalted' on the site simply means that you send the dragon from your lair to serve your flight's deity. There are many interpretations of what this means, so you just have to find (or create) one that you like.

Dragons rarity is determined by how popular the breed/genes/color is ^^ You just have to watch for trends, or general likes. Such as, more people like Coatl then Snappers. And completely crystal/facet dragons are more popular then a smoke or crackle dragon. It's just a little hard to pick one out and say "that's rare" .

Exalt means you sort of 'delete' your dragon. You send it to dominance for your clan. You can still view it, but it will not age, change, breed, or be messed with. You receive treasure (usually around 2000) for newborns/adults unless they are trained or meet daily bonuses.

There's a breed rarity guide here,
but a certain dragon's rarity depends on it's colors and genes.
Exalting is when you 'delete' a dragon from your lair and the site, and it goes to serve the god/deity of your flight.

And yeah, Storm Spirit lore happened too:

Like Summer Spirits, Storm Spirit dragons have one goal also: to bring the chaos and awe-striking power of a summer thunderstorm wherever they go. A clan with a Storm Spirit residing in it is sure to get a little messy from the powerful winds and rains that these dragons bring with them. Storm Spirits can be any breed or flight of dragon, and are generally born to Summer Spirit dragons but exhibit the wrong colours to be classified as a Summer Spirit (Stonewash, Steel, Denim, Azure and Teal). Like Summer Spirits, their tertiary genes are always Smoke. Children of Storm Spirits do not become Storm Spirits themselves - a Storm Spirit must have Summer Spirit parentage to take the title.

Storm Spirits, perhaps feeling about snubbed about not being able to be a Summer Spirit, are generally vengeful dragons and feel no remorse about the chaos that they cause in clan. Their powers are limited, however, and run out fairly quickly. After an emotional outburst which may include small tornadoes and sheets of hail, Storm Spirits need at least a full week to recharge. When they're not causing chaos, they are often found sleeping in secluded areas. The summer sun gives them more energy and they can cause bigger storms in the summer months than the rest of the year.

And I now have three true Summer Spirits and one false Storm Spirit in my lair. C: Fengbao will probably be chased off when Ondine and Sylph have their first true Storm Spirit.

Just one of the less chosen flights, but the benefits to it would be that battle stones for wind and such will be cheaper than ones from my flight (plague) cause there's so many folk in it xD

Exalted is basically a deleted dragon, it no longer actually exists on FR, it goes off to serve whicher flight it's exalted by (like if I exalted a light dragon, it would go to serve Plaguebringer, even tho it's a light flight dragon)
You get treasure payouts for exalting, most do it when hatchies dont sell, or in Dom battles (because you get discounts on certain things like lair expansions), and the higher it's leveled up in the coliceum, the more treasure get's paid out
You can see how rare the colours of a dragon is by using the search dragon option to the left hand side of your screen, the last block titled Library, third down (:
