I look up sehun eng sub and baekhyun eng sub but I just get compliations that are interrupted
with the authors comments or American songs. Like I never actually hear Sehun's voice.

and since I kinda shifted to a EXO subject, sorry, may I bring up Tao?
Like I know his leavings old now, but some fans were mad at him
and after seeing both points of views I still wish Tao the best of luck.
So, I was wondering does anyone have other opinions or more info
they'd care to share about it?

To be honest, I have no idea about Tao. I'm pretty unbiased in his case. I haven't heard much about him, but I also wish him the best of luck in whatever he does. It just makes me sad though, because I wonder if he still contacts his members...

TBH. IDK about Tao either. I dont even know what the point of him leaving was?
Like what was his verdict to leaving Exo? I feel like Luhan and Kris both had really good stances to leaving Exo, but what about Tao? After Luhan left, he just sort of followed, but IDK what his case is.

The only thing I really remember is that he trashed Kris about him leaving and then did the same thing so mehhh. IDK.

no, there is nothing really online. Thats just the point. Tao got hurt once and his father was like "Oh, I dont want my son to be there anymore" and then he just sort of left.

To me, thats not a very valid reason to leave, because everyone gets hurt and whatnot and idk. I dont like what his father said either, because if as an idol, you can't really just quit half way because you got hurt and as a parent of an idol, you cant really just say that and expect everyone to be on your side, you know?

but the thing is, Tao trashed Kris because he left and said some pretty nasty things and then just followed and left. Thats kinda low.

And then he apologized for it like wayyy later, but only because he cant be a hypocrite and did the same thing.
While Kris and Luhan seemed to have visited and met up several times or at least attempted to, tao seemed to go on his own way
and the news on him is just. Really little, like he wants to go solo and become more obscure

IDK, out of all the leaves from Exo or in kpop in general, Tao's seemed to be the most obscure and least direct?? if you know what I mean

Okay so as most of you guys can guess I'm ridiculously Tao biased, so yeah I follow his solo projects still. And yeah I was devastated when he left but I was so happy to realize he was doing solo projects, and how I see it is that as long as Tao, Kris, and Luhan are happy I'm happy! Tao states in a interview that he and Luhan still talk a lot, I'm not sure about the other members, I don't think Tao still talks to the other members, he might though. (maybe with Lay) You should probably check out one of Tao's interviews boop if you want to know sort of why Tao felt like he had to left/ more stuff
Idk I don't understand why people hate Tao he's happier going solo and I think that we should all just be accepting of the former members decisions, just like what Lay said in an interview regarding the former members: "If they are happy, then I will give them my blessings. I hope that they will do well all the way"

Tao's reason for leaving: He wasn't treated well, he's had that ankle injury of his since 2014 when he was on Law of the Jungle, it got worse I think during ISAC as he got hurt in Basketball (I think that's what it was all I know is he didn't get proper treatment and that's why it got to point of not being able to practice or participate in the comeback), he also basically left for Luhan's reasons I guess discrimination, health issues (his injury), and he wasn't given enough representation. Don't blame him for leaving or any of the members they've got all the right to choose something better for them, and even if they are bound by contract isn't it better to be able to go solo and (probably) make more money? Yeah I know it sounds harsh, but they're also getting really popular in China Tao's been topping a lot of charts with his songs, Kris is doing all the modelling and movies, and Luhan's been doing a lot of acting and will be in a Hollywood film sooner!

But the thing is, you cant compare Tao and Luhan together.
Luhan is from an upper class, and somewhere, it had stated before that if he left SM, Luhan can definitely just find another job without any problems. IDK about Tao, but for Luhan, it was quite literally just he was privileged enough and had the money to go do what he wanted to do. Just between Tao and Luhan, you can't really compare them because economically, I think Luhan was included in the one category with the members who were better off. (Suho, Kai etc).

I agree, that SM is rude to its artists and don't treat them well whatsoever. But at the same time, I hold no idol on a pedestal of their own. It was their decision to audition, their decision to sign that contract, and they should have known exactly what they were getting into. SM could have been subjected to being their tool, spending money, energy and time to create music videos, pay for personnel, plan their trips etc. I understand SM gains money from their idols, but without SM, there would be no idols that the same time. So, even if SM doesn't treat everyone the best, I dont hold the idols like they are golden either.

I never hated on Tao. The only thing I didnt like about him was that he trashed Kris on social media and it wasn't forced by SM. Because Baekhyun said something quite contrary around the same time. Which meant, Tao did it on his own, rash decisions without thinking really.

In the end, if it was better to go solo, why enter in the first place? Because its a booster, a jump start, an easy way to fame before leaving to China. Basically, they seemed to have gained all the popularity and fans they could have gotten first, and then left to make more money, get more fame (because of the lawsuit) and then gain more fans.

And. Last but not least. If SM truly, truly was that awful, why the heck is Zhang Yixing still there? He is the one with the biggest medical problem because of his blood coagulation disorder.

Its just my two cents, but no matter what, I never blamed Tao for leaving. He just gave a reason to be criticized more than the others because he opened his mouth a little too early. WHen so many eyes are on you, you can't just say things and expect it to be forgotten.

Tao had fallen off stage because drew let wires go around. He hurts his food and later did a music video. He had also gotten poisoned, like purple blue feet and then next day did a concert. I felt bad for him. He went through more and promised fans not to leave despite what his father wanted and then signed to leave because of the hard work. I don't care if he promised to stay or not if he left I am happy because he's not suffering again. There are videos of him limping and it breaks my heart. At one point he couldn't even bow to his fans to say goodbye and holding his waist because it hurt.

I agree with Kim Jongdae I don't like that he trashed Kris, that was wrong and he unfollowed everyone on Instagram and deleted some of the pictures with EXO.

The apologize might have been late but he was crying when he did it and on his last stage he apologized to EXO and the fans for leaving because he loved them all. He said he watched the members go practice while he stayed back to heal and felt horrible, but honestly it's not wrong to heal. Tao is hurt, he shouldn't have to practice. The video of him with glasses on to hide his crying face makes me want to hug him.

Lastly, my biggest opinion is with SM. They are terrible to all the idols and when signing up they expected to have a group like BTS. I am going to use BTS because I know them a lot, but there are very few stuff of them being over worked. V and rap mon were sick once and Jimin stated someone about passing out during a music video, but that's it. The rest of BTS injuries are them just hurting themselves, but if I were to look up EXO things there's a ton. Baekhyun almost passing out while singing a solo, Sehun kneeling down on stage and sitting down because its too much work, all that stuff with Tao. I love ALL of the EXO members and support their decisions to leave or stay. There's only one thing I don't like and that's SM. As a fan, if an EXO member got hurt I wouldn't be mad if there was one less member on stage at my concert so they can heal. I don't think they should be forced around so much.

Also, I hope my opinion doesn't offend anyone or seem to bite back at another's opinion. I tried to point out the goods and bads about Tao. Yet, I still love him and I cry when I see old videos with him in it. Same with the others and LUHAN NOO I WUVS YOU.

EDIT: Wait I found more, he too ( Kris ) felt overworked. So, besides Tao trashing him, why be mad at Tao for 'abandoning' EXO because of the pain when Kris did it too?

There are definitely injuries that happen in SM, and like I said. Everyone knows SM is terrible , but my question still stands. If Anything, I would support Lay's leave out of Exo, and for Exo to come together, rathern than be an Exo K and Exo M, but Lay refuses to leave. Despite SM being so bad?

Because it seems like he wants to prove something. That a Chinese member could survive in SM perhaps? Or that SM isn't as bad as their rep is?

But besides the point, if anyone looks up news, they would know SM isn't even the only bad company. At least, despite poor treatment, they don't seem to throw their artists under the bus all the time.

In the end, without SM, there would be no Exo, no Super junior, GG, f(x), no Tao, no kris, no luhan. Whether we all like it or not, SM has been an important "founder" of Kpop as well, and no matter what happens, without SM, there would be no great artists like there is now.

One can't quite side with just the artists, nor just the company. But both sides have valid reasons for what they did/are doing, and that should be the conclusion and end of it.

@Kim Jongdae - I agree entirely. Your points are all very valid. I don't know much about Lay and EXO coming together or anything so I can't speak for that myself. SM has brought great Kpop bands and its not all of SM causing the cases where the boys have to go on stage after an injury. Its more like some people and positions within the company are not so good when a lot of great and despite SM Entertainment there's more to that. Like there's just a lot of mistreatment to K-pop people in general. I don't know much about female K-pop singers besides the actual music but my sister loves them and says there's issues there as well. I wish people would forgive all the EXO members that left and support the ones that stayed. I was thinking EXO should unite as well.

Could you tell me what's up with EXO now? Since so many members are gone and what you said about Lay?

There are only 3 members of EXO M now, like what are they going to do?
