Hi everyone! I've been working on some names/ideas for the species and I'm curious what you all think! So I used to have these two species, my Atlantean Hexapedes-- the idea was that they were creatures that used to live in the lost city of Atlantis; I thought the idea was fun and I wanted to continue it, so that's why "Atlantean" is at the beginning of all the names. The second parts of the names are based on different types of lizards!

Below is some info to look at if you're interested to see what the names mean, and after you look through that, I'd love if you guys would respond to my poll so I can see what everyone thinks! :)

Atlantean Basilisk-- based on both the basilisk lizard and the mythical creature called a basilisk. If this name is chosen, the species will be venomous, and will be based more closely on snakes as I develop it further.

Atlantean Anapsid-- based on the earliest evolved reptiles, the anapsids. If this name is chosen, the species will be based more on dinosaurs and early ancestors of today's reptiles.

Atlantean Lacerta-- based on the jeweled lacerta and other lizards in the lacertidae family. If this name is chosen, the species will be based on modern day lizards.

Atlantean Gila Monster (or Atlantean Heloderm)-- based on the Gila monster! If this name is chosen, the species will be venomous, and based on beaded lizards.

pea's based on my ball python, so she's pretty shy and her personality is mostly based on my snake's.

what is your bab's dream significant other like?
someone gentle and comforting! who won't do things like try and startle her cause her reaction is cute and stuff and who's there for her when she's stressed.

how does your bab deal with large amounts of stress?
pea tends to curl up and try to avoid her problems! which isn't a very good solution for big issues, heh. she sometimes needs a push to get out of a guilt/anxiety/avoidance cycle when it comes to things that can't be solved by balling up.

how trusting of others is your bab?
she's super shy at first, and it can take a while to earn her trust! she's a loyal little puppy once you befriend her, though, and'll trust you to the ends of the earth.

what does your bab do when it rains a lot?
she tends to hide under whatever she can find and wait it out, but if it rains for too long she'll sometimes play in the mud. silly little baby.

what makes your bab happiest?
she loves feeling safe and secure! hugs and comforting words from those closest to her go a long way. a warm sunning rock is pretty nice, too, though.

your bab's favorite place to be pet?
she loves her sides pet! pea's a bit head-shy.

what's your bab's favorite heat source?
she likes nice flat rocks warmed by the sun and burrows made by other creatures that she can nestle in.

what is your bab's dream significant other like? she wants someone she can go exploring with because she is very adventurous. she wants someone who is kind and sweet but not super clingy. she also likes her alone time and quiet, so her ideal mate would be someone who is able to sit there quietly with her.
how does your bab deal with large amounts of stress? she will go off by herself into a forest and sit up in a tree, just watching the sky.
how trusting of others is your bab? she is very trusting and easily deceived by others
what does your bab do when it rains a lot? she likes to lay in the hollowed out area beneath a trees' roots and listen to the rain.
what makes your bab happiest? being alone in the woods
your bab's favorite place to be pet? at the base of her horns and tail
what's your bab's favorite heat source? a hot spring

what is your bab's dream significant other like? his ideal mate is someone who is social and likes to do things. he enjoys hanging out with friends and would want him mate to be equally involved.
how does your bab deal with large amounts of stress? he would bury himself as much as he could in sand or dirt until he can calm down.
how trusting of others is your bab? he is quite trusting of others, although not as much as Pandemonium.
what does your bab do when it rains a lot? he stays where he can keep dry and warm.
what makes your bab happiest? sunshine and sand

Food. Glourious food. Especially lychee berries and plain Cheerios! (I don't know why??)

If it's nice and sunny outside, a dark rock and the sun. But, if it's a cold, gloomy day he has a favorite blanket and heat lamp.

Everyone gets the benefit of the doubt and is trusted little bit by little bit until he trusts them fully, but if you break his trust, it's hard to gain back

He likes hanging out in his tree house where he will animal watch. He finds the rain relaxing
