Hey! Would it be safe to say that if a Zver, with weakened telepathy skills were to try communication with a human would it simply be a montage of images going by too quickly for a human brain to comprehend or could it be like indistinctive muttering that grows louder in volume? Or could it perhaps be different for everyone depending on your Zver?

I just want to see people's opinions on this because I feel like writing a story about a life with a Zver but idk where to start so yeah

@Violet & Ivy ~ I can't give any kind of definite answer, but Metta has said a couple of things on the topic of telepathic communication with humans. I'll dig out some relevant quotes, but this can all be found on the main adoption page.

That's not to say it's not possible that zvers cannot speak telepathically with humans, there have just been no known cases thus far.

Can Zvers communicate telepathically in ways that aren't through language, instead sending images, or emotions? Could a Zver 'send' a general feeling of anger or happiness to another Zver, without explicitly saying 'I'm happy/ect', which might sort of be like how humans can guess how others a feeling by their facial expression and body language, which, a Zver might not be able to see if it was not in sight. Or would that kind of thing be gained from how they 'spoke' telepathically, because you could pick up emotions from the tone.

I had the idea that if Zvers were to 'speak'/communicate telepathically that ideas could be shared via images, sounds, sensations. My own Zver, Harl E. Quin is an earth born Zver so to what extent would their own prowess of telepathically communicating be as opposed to Quartan3 born Zvers? Would they communicate far more elaborately than an earthborn? And if so is there a way to teach earthborn's of their 'mother tongue?'

Lol I'm sorry for all the questions but these are great ideas to discuss and I'm excited. I wonder if earthborn methods of communication are like slang to a Quartan3 born Zver xD

It is my scientific opinion that if a zver could communicate with a human and that zver's telepathy were weakened by improper socialization with their own kind, the zver would speak in a very broken way, whatever that way is, similar to a radio cutting out when it has a bad signal. This would be due to their weakened signal ability, so even though they could see their own communications they're trying to send, those they're trying to communicate with would miss chunks of information.

Yes. Though body language is used to convey most emotions if two zvers are speaking at close range

Haha, i think you misunderstand, an earthborn zver, if properly socialized with others of its own kind, would speak just as clearly and in their mother tongue as zvers from their home world.
Though i suppose a zver that has lived only with humans or lived alone would develop a sort of Quanglish(or whatever human language they've learned mixed with quartanese). Zvers that have had limited interaction with their own kind can learn proper quartanese if they spend time with a properly socialized or otherwise quartan3 born zver. This would occur much like learning and understanding human languages, though it would take much longer to strengthen their telepathy, even if they learned to speak perfect quartanese.
Until they learned their mother tongue though, yes, they would likely speak in a very strange sort of slang x3

Hey guys! So I have not figured out what I'd like to write about but I wanted to try an idea. For owners and non-owners. I'm making this 'Guidebook' which is really just a bunch of unrelated, or related 'experiences' with Zvers or any aspect of them which can also include the media and Zvers portrayal in it.

Basically you tell from your point of view what it's like living with a Zver, tracking a Zver, seeing a Zver for the first time, what made you want to help them, finding one you want to bond with, etc. It can be anything that has to do with you and a Zver.

I thought it would be a fun idea and maybe even help or be fun to read for some of our newer members as well. There's no limit how much you have to type, that's completely up to you. This is just an idea and you can use the guidebook to help write down ideas or develop your Zver.

I just wanted to know if anyone would be interested. If not that's fine too but I just thought it would be cool or neat.

And for those of you that would like to write but either don't have a Zver or aren't sure what to write I'll have a one word generator/theme generator you can use to help. Just no inappropriate stuff.

But yeah, would anyone even want to do this? X3
