Worst anime ever for me is "futari was pretty cure" I don't even want to waste my time talking about it

honestly my least favorite anime is probably dragon crisis!
i don't even know why i watched it, and i don't remember
much of it, just that all the characters were irritating, the
plot was awful, and everything annoyed me.

also unpopular opinion of the day, but i really disliked erased.
it was so predictable and i never really cared about what
was happening. the thing is with mayoiga was that i knew
it wasn't going to be good or have some amazing plot twist
because it came from the creators of another and everyone
knew how that went. but, also like another, i just watched
everything to see stuff unfold. i knew it was gonna happen,
but i just wanted to see why it would or when it would.

there's also the things i dropped, but most of them was out
of frustration or lack of interest with the genre as a whole.

On the subject of worst anime ever, I have a slightly weird candidate.

Attack On Titan. I've tried watching AoT several times due to its extreme popularity, but I've never been able to make it past episode 4 or so, so it might get better later, but I kinda doubt it. The plot is okay, I don't really have anything to say about that. The characters though, are disgustingly cliche. Eren is basically exactly the same as every other main character ever, trying to do good, keep people alive, and avenge his dead mom. Bo-ring. Mikasa somehow manages to be even worse, she's very possibly the worst Mary Sue I've ever seen (Well, maybe second to Kirito...) The other characters aren't any better, they're all one-dimensional cliches.

About tied with AoT in my opinion is a more normal one. My Bride is a Mermaid. My brother forced me to watch it, as he somehow liked it, and I was trying to be polite and not telling him his favorite anime was crap. It's a harem anime, and nothing more. At all. The characters are boring and annoying. Plus like 60% of the show is screaming.

I'll try not to include things from the show/ manga so anyone who cares to read this won't be spoiled, if they haven't read/ watched the series.

So, first of all, I don't really care or mind what other people like and dislike. Everyone has their own preferences, but what is nagging me is that they make assumptions about a series/ manga that they haven't even watched or read.

It's perfectly alright for you not to like a show whether it is b/c of genre, story/ plot, characters, or just b/c it wasn't your cup of tea. All are acceptable reasons for not liking a show but labeling it as worse (maybe the worst /you/ watched) when you only watched 4 episodes.For other shows this might be enough, but for a show like attack on titan, which progresses reeeal slow, it's not. It follows exactly the storyline of the manga with a few extra stuff that the creator couldn't add at the time, and that's why it is so slow.

I've watched a handful of bad shows and I can tell you that as much as you may dislike AoT, it is not one of them. It does have its flaws (slow development of events is one of them) but it sure as hell isn't a bad show, or in your words /worst anime ever/.

Tying it with My Bride is a Mermaid is pretty unfair imo.

Moving on to the characters--I'll start with Mikasa since she's the one to get the most hate out of the Trio.
She's is repeatedly being called a "Mary Sue" when in fact she is not. It's even more sad to hear that by people who never got into the manga--there's a reason she is like this. Sure, Mikasa is "overpowered" but that's not the only thing there is to her character. She's strong yes, but only physically. She's able to do "anything" that's related to her strength but mentally? She's weak. She isn't liked by everyone like every other Mary Sue nor she's perfect. Now, I'd go into detail but I'll leave it at that b/c spoilers.

On to Eren. Eren is anything but one-dimensional cliche character. He does share "cliche" traits like other MCs; there are no characters that are absolutely original. If you watched the series further you'd know that Eren isn't "normal" he had a strong sense of justice ever since he was a little kid and he was quite scary for a child tbh. Moreover, he didn't decide to join the military after his mother died; he always wanted it. He wanted to make his dream (and Armin's) come true, to see the ocean, to be free. He wants to do good, yes, he wants to keep people safe, true but guess what, he's isn't any good at that, in fact he is pretty useless at doing so. Especially, early in the series but his character development up to this point is pretty incredible and it doesn't happen from one second to another, but gradually which is all the more amazing.
Also, he isn't like other characters who from a certain point in the series (early even) they gain a special power and out of nowhere are pretty good at using it and able to overcome everything.

All the characters in AoT are more three-dimensional than any other I've seen (save for a few) and above all human. Mischaracterizing them like that is just sad.

Hey guys, I'm sorry to just pop up out of nowhere and change the topic, but I'd like some suggestions on anime with good art / animation, drama and / or tragedy, psychological, or basically just something really sad. It doesn't need to have all of these and I'd prefer movies, but series are also welcome. Also, if possible, please let me know why you enjoyed the ones you're suggesting, in case you've already watched them of course ^-^

Well, Mikasa's personality is different from Levi's. She is not the same character as Levi. I don't like her because, to me, she is the cliché heroine with a dark past who is infatuated with the main character. They had to make her obsessed/super attached to Eren. Nothing irritates me more than a heroine who is so obsessed with a guy that it clouds her judgment and makes her act irresponsible and stupid. Take Riza Hawkeye for example. She was a strong female character. She cared deeply for Roy sure, but that never confused her as to what decisions should be made or what the correct course of action should be. She didn't let her feelings control her.

Levi is the exact opposite in this regard. He cared deeply for his teammates, but he didn't let his feelings get in the way of what needed to be done. Spoilers: When Petra died did he give up on living? No. He used her corpse to distract a titan that was chasing them, and gave her patch to that dumb soldier that lead the titans to them, causing him to have to dump her body.

Of course this is my own personal opinion, lol! I don't mind that other people like or enjoy her character. I just don't like her. Very rarely is there a series where I don't dislike at least one of the characters, and Mikasa really hit that mark for me. Eren is a big part of what makes her her, and that is one of my pet peeves. When a female character doesn't have any personality unless a guy is involved.

Hotarubi no Mori e. This movie was made by the same creator of Natsume Yuujinchou and it is simply beautiful and heartbreaking!

kokoro ga sakebitagatterunda fits all those categorizes really well imo if you haven't seen it.
i honestly don't watch too many anime movies, aside from the generic stuff, so i'd have to

i say drop watamote (no matter how i look at it..). honestly, it's pretty cringey to me and just meh. a lot of people liked it though, so to each his own.
