I've gotten really far, now, almost to the masquerade scene where Tybalt sees Romeo and Juliet together and realizes that Romeo is a Montague. Oh snap.

Hi guys! i haven't posted in awhile cause i've had school issues. but i'm studying Shakespeare a lot and wanted to give a sonnet a try:) tell me what you think!

Oh brilliant blade,
Sharpened upon stone.
what shall you cost me?
what shall be first torn
From my small body?
For I wish'st be,
My heart or my head,
Or maybe my legs,
So I cannot run
From you oh sweet blade.
But before thy chooses
How thou shalt kill me,
Let me sing a prayer,
To my last full moon

I've been doing Shakespeare, too, and so I decided to write part of an intro for a roleplay in iambic pentameter.
It's called "The Lament of a BlueRune Warrior."
"Help us, o stars, who shine so far above.
Would you let your Chosen Ones die below?
Would you let all the helpless ones be slain?
And yet, perhaps you call them up to you.
Into the deepest sleep, the darkest night.
All are gone away.
Death has come today."

Oh, also, I've continued my story, and given it a name! I'm calling it "The King of Cats," since that's what Mercutio calls Tybalt right before Tybalt kills him.

"Come, ratcatcher!" calls my former friend, drawing his rapier. "Will you fight?" I step back, watching as he circles around me. "What do you want, Mercutio?" I ask. "I've no quarrel with you." The man responds as if he didn't hear me, as if the entire world is revolving around him and only him. "Only one of your nine lives, King of Cats."

I haven't been doing a whole lot of writing lately... I don't know why. But yesterday we were at Staples and I'm like "MOM, I have to buy a notebook now, I want to write!" xD So yes, I have the first chapter or so written of a sci-fi. I might post it later.

Hehe, thanks. I'm trying to make the whole "Tybalt kills Mercutio" thing an accident, because otherwise, why would Tybalt go back to talk to Romeo? Unless he felt bad about slaying his former best friend, he probably wouldn't do that.
