So I redeemed my Salazzle from the event and I'm beyond annoyed at it. The nature and the IVs are totally randomized. The nature I can kinda get, but the IVs? They're not even guaranteed to have any perfect IVs. I'm currently on reset #4 (wanting a Timid or Modest one) and the only "Best" stat I got was in attack. I don't think it's fair to claim a Pokemon to be "Battle Ready" without at least 3 perfect IVs. I already have a shiny Salazzle, so I don't plan on using this for breeding. Kinda lame that the IVs are bad and there's no set nature. I'm not even that big into competitive battling, but I want a good Pokemon, y'know?

You'd think they would make more boring events at least have a few perfect Ivs.. or at least make it shiny. Can't complain to much.. at least we got shiny koko because we shore never got shiny diancie last gen. >_<

Yeah, at least the IVs so you could breed for a shiny. I'm trying to get all of the (legal) shiny Pokemon and events count if you can't hunt for them. But my Koko had 4 perfect IVs but attack and defense, so I kept that one. I'm not joking, I've even gotten a few "No Good" stats on these resets.

Also, why give it Fake Out? It's a much better special attacker and it's not STAB. I know Sacred Fire would be too OP, but at least it'd make more sense than Fake Out...

Code really? It's understandable a bit but seriously, what about people who live in rural places and need to drive 1+ hours there? I'm not going to try anymore

Yes, it's how they distributed the other Mythicals (except Magearna, but that was an odd case) - one distro being the store codes, then an online one a few months later (except Volcanion, but he was in an odd period between generations... Hoopa and Diancie at least fit the store-codes followed by online-code distribution, along with a couple of the 20th Anniversary legends). In any case, it's ~a lot~ better than them going "We'll give him out ONLY at the cinemas that will be showing the film for that one weekend", right? Again, it kinda ties in with a TCG release (the beginning of the Shining Legends releases is the 6th October) and getting people into stores. It's also assumed that people will be able to get to a store ~sometime~ within the dates, which is why they run for a couple of weeks, and announcing so far in advance gives people time to plan trips... (I've done an hour and a half either way for a couple events, for example, because we've known about it and I could get a trip/day out planned) And there's always asking friends/joining groups that collect extra codes for those less fortunate/etc if you need it ~immediately~ and can't wait to see if they do another distribution in a few months. I mean, I'll be picking up extra (Europe) codes when able, as long as the demand is there, I'm sure someone based in the US will be happy to pick up some codes... I've also heard there's some luck in ringing/emailing either the store support/your local branch of that store and explaining the situation (politely, but that should go without saying... Just a simple "Hey, noticed this event was going on, unfortunately I'm x miles away from my local, would you mind zipping me a code over?" Or similar).
