oh got it! Grinding always bored me but if I'm fighting audinos itll be easier! And my brother also likes to grind so whenever I'm tired of it he usually will help me out

I'm currently in the middle of a replay of Pokemon Diamond, and I've got 5 gym badges so far - but my pokemon are still all under lv 30 ;__; The last gym was super hard. Any tips for grinding in Diamond?

My umbreon is op, I restarted my game and used my eevee as a starter (it was lvl 1) and it single handedly beat all the gyms including the fighting type gym (as an eevee). He also can beat ghosts with ease

if you have the vs seeker, that's a huge help. i forget if you get it by gym 5, but that's what i used!!

bonus points if you use it against a rich kid trainer. then you'll be strong + rich- they give,,, 6000 or so poke/battle!

I haven't played diamond in years so I'm not sure if these are for diamond or for platinum.

1. I remember fighting trainers vi VS seeker or whatever it was called to grind in certain areas with lots of trainers. I'm pretty sure trainers give you more exp than wild Pokémon.

2. I "think" there is an exploitation for the Pokémon daycare where if you are on bike and continualiously trying to go up a dirt hill it counts as steps. So if you figure out a way to tape your direction pad in front of a dirt hill you can leave your game on overnight to level them.

If neither of those are good I'd just look at how much exp you get from each battle and try to work out what Pokémon to fight. Some wild Pokémon you are better running away from because they don't give much exp.

Does that bike thing work in Platinum too? I've got 7 badges but my team is incredibly weak and get so bored grinding

Oops apparently that's a trick in gen 3, not 4 lol. I remembered wrong, I'm sorry. >_<

There is a similar way but with the mats that make you spin at iron works though. I never tried this method so I don't know how fast/slow it is.

If I recall correctly, the level of your Pokémon compared to the level of the opposing Pokémon also affects how much EXP you gain. If you fight a Pokémon of a lower level than yours, you gain less EXP, and vice-versa.

I think I'm just bad at Pokemon (at least the games on the ds) because I get stuck on almost every gym in platinum and black?? Like am I just really bad or is because everyone does grinding and I don't find it fun?
