I watched a video and now I have some concern. Its an cubone. So, you know how it wears the skull of its dead mother? Well if you breed your cubone or marowak, it doesn't die. So how is cubone wearing its skull? And you can breed multiple times...

Alolan Marowak being a ghost type is actually a key to the reason Cubone wears it's mother's skull. I can't remember the video's title or who made it, but basically Cubone isn't wearing it's actual mother's skull, it's wearing the skull of an ancestor (which would be considered the mother of its kind like how George Washington is considered the father of America, if that helps to make more sense) and how the pokedex mentions an Alolan Marowak grave yard where they would get the skulls. I'm explaining it terribly but I will try and get a link now since so far it's the theory that seems most plausible to me.
Edit: Okay nope, I can't find the video so either I'm misremembering or the video was deleted. I do remember seeing something like what I wrote so I've only put the line through it in case someone else knows what I'm talking about but I did find this so hopefully this helps a little.
