Are the pokemon we encounter seen by other people as well?

I was just attacked by weedle and caterpie, and my brother was attacked by them as well, less than a minute after each of my encounters.

Yes, they are. My partner will shout out the pokemon they see and we both are able to catch it. So it is more like a spawning point for people to interact with, and doesn't seem like you can 'steal' a pokemon from anyone either.

As far as Pokemon Go connection, and other problems: They are still working on the server to be honest! They came out of beta and were doing good with that, but it seems they were not honestly prepared for the extremely large group of people who are on it. So, they are ill prepared to handle the bulk of all these users.

I honestly went and just got a new phone. I actually had to uninstall nearly all of my other apps just to get Pokemon Go on the old one... And I was sick of having to clear the cache and delete apps just to update my favorite ones. Now I have one of the newest ones, so the only problems I forsee are my data usage (I already used my fast data up and now on the slow one till the 17th) and Pokemon Go server issues themselves.

Do you have a "partner" pokemon?
Eevee is always my go to pokemon, forever. So right now I have one Flareon, and four 100 - 160 cp Eevee. Once I am able to get Vaporeon and Jolteon I will work on my remaining eevee to be my true blue partner <3

I'm sitting at my desk watching my character run back and fourth across the street, around my house, into the neighbor's yard, back across the street....

I guess I'll be caught up on egg catching in no time.

I do have an egg that's 10k steps instead of 5k. Does that mean it's rarer?

My guess is that it stays true to the pokemon games?
Different pokemon have different steps in order to hatch, for example, in the actual DS games, pidgey only has a requirement of between 4080-4334 steps to hatch its egg while ralts takes 5355 - 5609.

So it could depend on the pokemon? Again, that's just my guess :p

it's 1:39 AM and im in my room on my dad's Ipad waiting for a pokemon.
there's an alakazam. jigglypuff, and kingler nearby but i doubt they'll come any closer hahaha

i've been getting relatively good luck with pokemon; my first catch was an eevee while at the bookstore, and earlier i caught a weepinbell (after 7 attempts) in our living room; shortly after i evolved one of my pidgys.

tomorrow, though.. the real hunt begins :'D

I haven't caught a single Pokemon yet and I have the game for two full days now. Im living in the middle of nowhere and there seem to be Pokemon nearby, but even after walking through the whole village I haven't found one Pokemon yet -.-
There was once a little circle on the map but it was empty. I couldn't click on it or anything :\
