I am having the weirdest situation. I currently have this immense muse and urge to code,
but I cannot come up with a theme. like, no theme. at all. nothing is coming to my brain.
I was going to do sonny carisi from svu, but I couldn't decide on a quote and then I couldn't
find any gifs and just uugghh. so, I am here to ask a question: Where do you guys get most
of your theme/quotes/scheme from? Have any of you ever had this problem? How can I fix
this problem? help my soul, my brain is not functioning properly

okie dokie, so i find the majority of my quotes and schemes on
pinterest. pinterest has a plethora of images for everything. for
my theme, i use tumblr to find gifs. i have this problem every time
i code for myself. i fix it by taking a step back and giving myself an
hour or so to let my brain rest. then i go back to it and try again.

this is me as well. i usually try to find one pic/gif i really like and center the sig around that one gif. if i can, or vice versa with the quote.

Personally, I usually get themes from something I'm watching/listening to. Like with my current theme, I was listening to "We Are One" from The Lion King 2, and for my Transformers theme, I was watching the Transformers movies (like, nonstop, watching them over and over pffbtt).
I don't recall having this problem?? Probably have and just can't remember. Maybe check out something you enjoy, or just browse around and see if a quote pops out or comes to mind???

I mean, I'm actually having that problem right now, haha. Have the slightest urge to code but no fresh ideas. Hmmm. It'll probably be Doctor Who related tbh.

oh my gosh you have no idea how many times i've gone through what
you're feeling right now. personally, i always find my quote first. i find
my quote by listening to the music im currently into - thats has
appropriate lyrics for chicken smoothie ofc - and writing down a list of
the quotes i could possibly use from the songs. After that i choose 2-3
of the quotes ive chosen from and think of what they remind me of - city,
ocean, forest, character, movie, book, etc. - and write that down next
to the quote. Then I try find images and gifs for the theme and the quote
for my signature. As for how to fix the problem, nowadays i keep a album
of photos for the themes i want and a massive list of quotes for my future
signature, so when i feel the muse everything is already there for me.

Oh boy um usually I just kind of go with whatever is really making me feel something at the moment, or if I have a favorite character in a game or show/movie that I'm playing/watching, I'll do something with them and one of their iconic lines. Recently, I made my Imagine Dragons signature because I just attended one of their concerts last month and I was the happiest I had been in way too long. When I can't really find any inspiration, though, or if I'm struggling with ideas, sometimes I'll code something for someone else first; my younger sister is an inactive Chicken Smoothie member, but she likes having me make signatures for her anyways. So sometimes when I'm kind of out of my funk or my muse isn't working for me, I'll do whatever she wants me to do and go from there. Otherwise, I like to kind of browse and do nothing, really, just to get my brain wandering and thinking of things I could do.

when i used to change around frequently, i had issues, but mostly i only change now-a-days when the inspiration hits (with the exception of my current signature which I didn't code or make the images for) that said, i rarely get inspiration to change anymore, which is sad. the only advice i can give you is to not force it, if you force it you're never going to be happy with what you get out of it; if you're really wanting a change, listen to some music, watch some videos, read a book, look up quotes, look up colour palettes, find something that catches your eyes and roll with it, you never know what's gonna happen when you start!

I get my quotes from songs/ films, and I generally start out with a picture, and then find a quote that fits it (hence my current sig heh), so the picture dictates the quote/ theme for me c:

Also, would someone mind pming me a little bank of text boxes etc please? It takes me forever to track them down on threads....
Or if there is a thread (other than digitally distinct) where all the text boxes + dividers can be found, could I have a link please?
