When planning a breeding do you...
A. Chose a personality and/or name and find a pairing to match
B. Have a base and/or quipping picked out and find a pairing to match
C. Find two parents that are both pretty and pair them with nothing planned

C best fits my style. I find equids that I absolutely adore, and combine them to make a dream foal from two dream quids of mine that happen to go extremely well together c: sometimes it takes me forever, but it always pays off in the end <3

Almost always C. Usually after finding the parents, I make up a personality that I will be using, so I can start developing the foal when it is made. I have done A before, but I've never done B. Once I get more into breeding for specific traits, I'll lean towards that. Right now, I don't have any specific quips or bases I really, really want, so I think I'l be sticking with C.

Any of my breedings that aren't mated pairs are all B, although I have one C lol

All of them! L was all A, and then its usually a mix between B and C. And sometimes i get breedings that werent planned but more like oh youre pretty can i have?

Eep, had to share my newest breeding I've set up, finally gonna get the cute chestnut bab I've had planned in my head for a while ^u^
Not sure what requests to ask for, or whether to simply ask the artist to go wild? What would you guys ask for?



Also, I don't think I posted my breeding from when I won Ghost's slot comp, so look! This is my next breeding and I'm so excited xD Can't wait for this one ^u^ Thanks for the slots everyone :3

I choose option D stumble upon a wme you just cant say no to, and go looking for another wme of equal surprise. Sometimes in the process adjusting it to a new wme because yup you guessed it it made a better pair.

Almost always A, rarely B, and C is a never.
I always have a plan for the foal I want, I don't breed on a whim or because I think the outcome will be pretty.

Mostly because I want the equid to turn out just so, and I want to be 100% in love with it.
If I don't love it, chances are I won't draw it at all.
I don't want to re-adopt either, so I'd be stuck with an equid I don't care too much for, which would be a waste of 2 breeding slots.

I generally go with B or C, but my favorites always come from C when I give the artist free reign and no requests. I usually build the name/personality of the equid after they're created by how they look or how they fit into the current herd.
