The young hatchling nervously approached the clan who had purchased him. He had walked over bamboo and had almost been swept away by sudden gusts of air. Travelling in wind flight territory, that was supposed to happen. Very different compared to what he was used to.
With a sigh, he looked at the dragons in front of him. Hatchlings bounded around in a playful game of catch, while adults hunted and fished for food, completely unaware of the newcomer.
He sat down, thinking of the place he had left, when a
white pearlcatcher was the first one to notice the small coatl.
She smiled and approached him.
"Hello little one! I'm Arktiese. How are you?" The hatchling hesitated before answering a quick 'okay'. The female motioned with her tail to be followed, and walked towards another dragon.
It was a
striped coatl, also a female. She was feeding insects to a pair of pearlcatcher hatchlings, who, seeing Arktiese, sped off.
The girl coatl sighed, then realized the pearlcatcher was beside her.
"Flower, this is the newcomer," Arktiese looked at the hatchling, then continued speaking,
"I trust that you can care for him, at least until, you know." she suspiciously glanced towards another direction, as if thinking about the mysterious event.
The female coatl, apparently named Flower, nodded, as if she knew what the pearlcatcher spoke about.
"I'll make sure of that, leader," she bowed down respectfully, then turned towards the orange male.
"I trust you don't have a name, right? Well, if I'm following orders correctly, you shall be Ikki.""Ikki?" The confused youngster repeated. It was very interesting, very unique. He liked it. Ikki turned around, and realized Arktiese had left. He was alone with Flower.
As if they'd read his mind,
another dragon approached. He was carrying the
twin pearlcatchers. The hatchlings did not appear to be very happy.
"I believe you lost something, Flower," the imperial spoke with a strong, loud, booming voice. It seemed to make the earth shake, or was it that the orange hatchling was shaking? Ikki realized he'd unconsciously lowered himself to the ground in fear. The female coatl didn't seem to be pleased.
"How dare you scare the newcomer, Agu? And you two!" Flower snapped, glaring at the two pearlcatchers, who cowered,
"I told you not to leave the nesting grounds! You know monsters are roaming around here, and you left anyway!"---
I'm guessing it's how a hatchling feels when he's purchased, right? XD
It would be interesting if FR would give you a personality description of your dragon when you purchase.
