- Here in Ohio, we aren't required to, and in fact don't in most high schools specifically from my knowledge, but we would usually stand and say "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. To the republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all."
Then usually we had to stand a moment longer and be silent before and after until the student council president or the principal said 'you may now be seated'
Makes me imagine America always being confused about what he's supposed to say if he's in different states..XD poor alfie. He probably gets so flustered about his own people's habits and customs..XD
