Aaaaahhh. We recently got ARMS, and it's so good. >w> I love the characters; they're all so fun. <3 I main Dr. Coyle, and my sister mains Mechanica.
On a side-note, I love how over-the-top and dramatic Dr. Coyle can get; she's hilarious. And yet, at the same time, she's someone you would definitely not want to mess with; she's totally hardcore. I think, if I absolutely had to choose a favorite character in the game, it would probably be her. xD I love the metal-flavored theme music on her home stage, too; it's so intense~

Also, I didn't think it was possible for a fighting game to be such a legitimately good experience, even online. <3 After the toxic, salty disaster that was SSB4 For Glory (more like For SHAME), I'd been hesitant to play online with any fighting game. (That being said, I haven't tried ranked battles yet. Crossing my fingers that I don't step into a salted sludgepit, but honestly, it can't be as bad as ~some games~ have it.)

Hmm, I'd say these:

Breath of the wild
Splatoon 2
Smash ultimate
Mario party

here's some other big titles that I consider to be main games for the switch, but depends if you're interested or not.

Mario cart 8
ARMS
Mario tennis aces
Snipperclips (possibly haha)

I've probably forgotten some, as I don't own all of these games.

i'd put super mario odyssey and possibly pokemon let's go up there as must haves as well. odyssey for sure.

other games that may not be must haves but i suggest to get would be xenoblade chronicles 2, kirby star allies and there is yoshi's crafted world coming out later this month. i agree with the games rinovo listed though mario party i wouldn't necessarily say is a must have. smash ultimate, botw and splatoon 2 are definitely among the most popular with odyssey and mario kart so i'd say start with that batch of games

Ok, I'm excited, this year is not only coming out with new Pokémon games, but also Digimon Survive and Yo-Kai Watch 4 for the Switch.

Oof how'd I forget Odyssey. Odyssey is a must-have.

I've never played any of the zenoblade games, But I know that they're really good. For me personally, I tend to host guests often and party games are a mus-have in that regard so Mario party is probably a biased choice then.

But yeah, Ploegy mentioned some other really good games.
