Welcome, interestingword, MayhemMadness7, Tacto, and *MoonShy*! I've read you're guys' answers and have noticed a few points worth commenting on.

This brings up an interesting matter. Currently, cs does not have a thriller/suspense/creepy category under roleplays. The closest I've seen is the Freddy rps. But, What if it did? What if cs had a thriller/suspense/creepy category? How hard would it be to concoct a roleplay that is 'scarily' themed and does not break the rules? How many people would be willing to attempt it? What would happen in a roleplay where the players knew from the very beginning that their characters were going to die and between which exact page numbers, say 50-60, their characters would have to meet their demise? Would this kind of radical plot organization ruin the fun, or would it create a way for thriller/suspense/creepy roleplays to exist on cs without breaking the rules?

I know how that goes, sadly. I don't know which is worse though, being in an active roleplay where you can't play, or being in a dying roleplay being the only one playing. They are both extremely infuriating though.

(whispers under breath "stupid, stupid, stupid") I'm sorry you're in such a rut.

Violence, but I dont like having to make 2 or more charries to join and rp. Especially opposite genders. I suck at playing males.
Everyone has room for improvement and this is a great opportunity for you to learn something new! Whether you're roleplaying just for fun or to gain experience as a writer you will not regret experimenting with it. My advice? Start talking to more boys (as hard as that can be, just think of it as part of the project). Pay close attention to how the boys around you react to certain things. Make sure not to pay too much attention to your crush(s). Just looking at them might make you forget to observe their actions and reactions. And the whole point of this experiment would be to learn how to play a male character. Does 'Danny' wince when he hears loud noises? Does 'Elliot' smile when he runs? Why do they react this way? Observe guys from different groups. I'd say 3-5 to make sure you don't overwhelm yourself. What makes a jock a jock? A nerd a nerd? Personality and history are what makes a person react a certain way. And once you realize that a boys personality and history affect him just like it affects you, it will become much easier to tap into a boy character.

That's just a suggestion though.

Don't you just hate it when people on a roleplay get irritated because you didn't post for three hours? I don't know if you've ever encountered that, but it really pisses me off. I so badly want to say to those people: "Most people don't have their whole lives to spend rping on cs. If you do that's great but don't get irritated because other people can't or won't spend that much time on it!" Unless they're the owner of the rp they have no say over how often you need to post. Also, just so you know, staying active isn't something cs or the staff take control of. It's completely up to the roleplay owner how active you have to be to stay in the roleplay. And, luckily, most owners will forgive a long absence if you explain the circumstances to them.

Yes,don't be too descriptive with injuries, when I RP on different websites (webstarts websites) blood and gore was usual so I never know what is too descriptive.
I really think it would be helpful if the staff gave links to examples of what is okay and what is not. It's such a shame when people with no bad intentions whatsoever get warned or banned because they didn't know what they were doing was against the rules.
@Everyone
I couldn't help but notice that everybody seems to be answering the "Have you ever made your own roleplay?" question with either a "no" or a "yes, but most or all of them died". This is not only saddening, but also perplexing. The biggest mystery to me about rps is what kills a roleplay. So to help me figure out the answer to this question (if there even is one), I'm curious to know everyone's experience with owning a dying/dead roleplay. If you've made multiple rps, did you do anything different after your first rp died? If so, what did you change? Did it do anything? Make the rp last longer? Die faster? Do any of you find that a certain type of roleplay dies faster than any other type? What type of rps have you made? Another thing, did you actually enforce the rules you made? I've found that a lot of rp owners don't actually throw people out if they don't post as often as they should. How strict exactly were you're rules? Were people constantly breaking your rules? Also how many of the roleplays you made that died were semi-advanced lit.? How many were regular?
I'm really interested to know all this if anyone wouldn't mind too much spending the time to write it down.
And by gathering this information, maybe, just maybe, we can get one step closer to solving the mystery of why a roleplay dies.
