I honestly see it in the light of Malachite, that Lapis fused with Jasper and no matter what Jasper wants -Lapis is not letting her go. Jasper is the prisoner now -though the latest Malachite episode seems to hint that fusion has taken over their personalities now of a mutual prison. I think its also a play on how little Lapis is and how ridiculous it would seem in non-fusion circumstance of Lapis keeping Jasper captive.

And the reason I don't think its shipping art, is mostly cause the Crewniverse team seems to avoid that at all costs to stay away from drama that shippers and ships cause.

I feel that really drives home that is is a representation of Malachite and their relationship of mutual prison.

Spinel back story art. but before i explain! to the tune of What can i do for you But to YD of corse.

So, basically Spinel's abilities made her a possible threat. Yellow Diamond ordered a peridot (Probably not current peridot, she seems pretty young.) to trap her in a part of the kindergarten. The force field however only worked on non corrupt gems and humans. as many gem monsters, birds, objects, whatever, could pass as they pleased. Spinel was left with the bubbled gem of Aquamarine, her best friend. She heard the wars and always knew who won, how? Well Rose Quartz's moss bloomed every time they won, the flowers made it through the field. They traveled great distances, and the moss at the time was all around the earth.Spinell used pieces from the gem machines and made microscopes and telescopes. She began to study earth life and somehow was always 20 steps ahead of the evolving humans. She hasn't yet been freed, unless...

Well, she's not my main gemsona, but I was thinking about it. That was practice for the fake screen pic one, the only thing is I use a mouse, so no pen pressure.

Tiger looks cool, most people make a tiger's eye gem the eye, I like it moved though. And her ears! One of my gems has feathered, gryphon ears.
Thank you very much, I will be doing more on her, she's fun to draw, and she's a short grumpy chub gem, so it'll be fun to do interactions, maybe if I do the comic, would any one with a deviant art like to have a gemsona in the comic? Homeworld preferred, just pm me.

Oh, STEVEN CREWNIVERSE UPLOADED SWORN TO THE SWORD BACKGROUNDS!!!! Why such a big deal? You can clearly see the statues of THE OTHER THREE DIAMONDS! Yellow diamond is recognizable from the theme, and blue diamond is the one who is kindof rounded, with a square on her forehead. They're positioned by the emblems of the four diamond shapes.
