It's making you uncomfortable to be around them becuase you don't like people telling you that your art/characters/you are amazing/perfect/famous when you know it's a lie. what would you do if your friend keeps talking about how amazing your art/characters are, but you don't agree, but they won't stop trying to tell you other wise. It's making you uncomfortable to be around them becuase you don't like people telling you that your art/characters/you are amazing/perfect/famous when you know it's a lie. What would you do to try and make them knock it off without being rude?
Doesn't mean that is a lie, it could be their opinion, however if it is making you uncomfortable (which it sounds like), I would try to change the subject, and if that doesn't work, you really have to just be point blank. "I really appreciate how you feel about my art/characters, and I know how you feel about them, but I really enjoy my time with you and would rather talk about other stuff. I do spend a lot of time on it, but I feel like it's all we talk about anymore" is a nice way to do the trick.
