Well for all we know Phone Guy could have been a relative of Mike's, the entire reason he would have been there in the first place- to find out what happened to them.
I believe it is Mike on the phone, but I also believe it is a sequel so.

You make a good point, but I'm not just going to assume that Phone Guy is a relative of Mike's. This whole situation makes it very hard to tell whether Phone Guy is in the second game or not. Even if he is a relative of Mike's, I still find it slightly odd that they would have the EXACT same voice.

Well people say I sound like my dad over the phone and I'm a young teenage girl.
My point being in that is if PG were to be related to Mike, over a phone it would be possible for him to sound the same.
Get my drift?

What I mean is, you'd think that Scott would use a different voice to distinguish the fact that they are two different people.

There isn't any reason to be so snarky. I was offline, and just saw the post. If my relative was supposedly dead and I didn't get any sort of call from him to see if he was alive or not or any notification at all, I wouldn't want to stay personally. It would make me too sad. You don't need a NIGHT of planning; your brain is capable of working during the day. And tampering with the animatronics isn't necessarily revenge.

Here is a thinking question for you all! Foxy seems to be more beat up in the prequel than in the first game, but if the second game is the prequel, why do you think foxy is in better condition than the apparent "first foxy?" If he was decommissioned, why didn't they just leave him alone?

Well, here's my theory. See, after the cops took the Toy animatronics, the pizzeria was left with the older ones. So they spent most of their money on repairs for the poor things. Then, when they reopened "Fredbear's Family Diner" into "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria" the animatronics went back to business as animatronics. But Foxy remained "twitchy" as Phone Guy described. Maybe Foxy misbehaved somehow, like attacked a kid, or mysteriously turned on and scared somebody? Or maybe even halfway through Foxy's repairs they ran out of money or just gave up on him, thus making him decommissioned.

Also, I just want to say, I like how civil everybody is being. I'm not on the Wiki, but when I look through it I often see fights break out over whether FNaF2 is a prequel or not. But here, I see no such fights. And while I do believe that game is indeed a prequel, I'm not one to bash another's theory. Who knows, maybe Scott will release more info that completely shatters my theory. That's the beautiful thing about theories, they are always changing and never truly become fact.

Forgot to add in my actual response whoops.
I think I'd stay, but I've manually removed most emotions from my head. I'd stay out of curiosity, I suppose.
The brain actually works a bit better in the dark, but if PG and Mike were related wouldn't you focus primarily in staying alive so you can find out what happened to him? Perhaps an extra night would allow you to make closer observations on the animatronics themselves, try to find a weakness.
And perhaps Mike tampering with the animatronics AI level is in an attempt to make them attack during the day or perhaps shut down if the AI was set low. Not to say Mike wanted anyone hurt, but if the animatronics did make aggressive moves during the day, then perhaps the place that saw the death of his relative would be closed, and with it the animatronics from within broken down and scrapped?
Again, these are all 'ifs'. It's highly unlikely, but one of many possibilities!

May I add another theory to why Jeremy and Mike stayed?
Remember what I said about the marionette being able to control minds?
Either he put them in a trance for his own entertainment, or he wants them to stay and help the kids that he ''gave life'' to.

That could make sense, in several ways, but we'd need a bit more information about the Marionette. Hmmm.
Sometimes I wish less was left to theorize, but then that's half the fun, isn't it?
