I think it's m8stly because n8w that J8hn has let Terezi kn8w that it was Gamzee wh8 killed Nepeta and Equius, which was primarily the reas8n why Terezi killed Vriska in the first place, Vriska will be spared.
(That alternate timeline where Jack killed Terezi and Karkat was never revealed t8 be a true timeline, 8nly a p8ssibility)
