welcome to the tokyo ghoul fanclub! tokyo ghoul is a horror manga series written and drawn by sui ishida and published by shueisha. it has 13 volumes as of june 2014. there is an ongoing anime series that started on july 3rd and is produced by studio pierrot and licensed by funimation.
tokyo ghoul follows main character kaneki ken, an 18 year old boy who was caught in an unfortunate event and had his internal organs transplanted with kamishiro rize's. this makes him into a "ghoul-human hybrid" of sorts and he is forced to henceforth live out life as a ghoul would, though...a bit more dangerous, some may say.
