In regards to your question, I definitely would try for this particular 'Kami simply because it's based on one of my favorite digimon.
As for other designs, I think having a mix would be nice. Some based on other designs - like weregarurumon - some that are original warriors or 'complex' designs and some simple. Because I know I like seeing a little of each and trying for ones that just catch my eye - some complex, some simple~
