What art program do you use? The image is really scaled up . . . You can try scaling it back down to 200 by 200, but the lines will be fuzzy. You can use lunapic or ezima to remove the background although since the lines are now fuzzy, the background will leave a thin white line around the image.
Try using a program like gimp or Sai. Even ms paint or paint.net won't scale the image like that . . .
If you use gimp or said you won't have to go through the process of making the background transparent. Paint.net might be able to do that too, but I never uses it, so I wouldn't know . . .
I did that on my iPad mini so I can do it a bit better on computer...
