I need help animating... how many frames does it usually take for a smooth animation?
This is a really broad question, but I'll try to answer it the best I can . . .
When I animate normally, I usually animate at 12 or 15 frames per second. Sometimes when I get daring I'll animate at 20 or 24 frames per second. When I animate Orb Cats, they are kinda meant to look "bumpy" and are played at 5 frames per second. (some at 7.5 or 10) Most animations are NOT 5 frames per second. Making something look "smooth" is not always about frames. I've seen 6 frame run cycles 100X better than 24 frame run cycles. The real trick is starting at a low frame count and spending more time on each frame, sketching, and imagining the motion. Over time you get better and you can move up the frame count to something more professional. Most Anime is at 15 FPS. Disney animates at 25 FPS ^^
I'm wondering what you mean by smooth . . . can you point to one work and I can give you more tips?Random♠Rebel- wrote:What litters are going up?
Yours and I think that's it ^^
Well whenever I animate cats... the color goes all off... Like kita in my sig. if you look close the dark colors get lighter in some frames
