What palettes do you tend to like in an oc?
I usually don't like to stick to one palette, so really any nicely-balanced palette appeals to me!

Any features you see popping up among your oc's?
All of my OCs are pretty different appearance wise except my personas who all have long black hair and cat ears C:

Do you have a preferred way of obtaining oc's?
Yes! I design them myself. ONLY I UNDERSTAND MYSELF CRY

Any features you HATE seeing in an oc or that are a complete turn off?
Omg really overused Chinese/Japanese characters. Like wow that's so tacky.
Ai, or Sakura, or Yue, or whatever it's like @____@ please no

Anyway! If any of you guys have seen cutie little floating foxes around CS and maybe were thinking of trying to get one~

hmm i like browns and beiges, and warm pastel colors

hair. on. ferals. i read your turn offs and a lot of you hate when a dog has hair, but for me its a must haha. i really enjoy drawing canines w puffy hair and i think it looks super cute.

clothes on anthros (a loose shirt is okay but jeans?? ugh), too many accessoires. what else.. i think thats all.

A mixture, but the mostly natural with unnatural elements are very common in my characters.
Browns and blues though... Pretty common XD

Yes and no, there are definitely some things that pop up, but they're quite sparse...

Buying, or even better, long form adoptions <3

Nothing in particular, but I find I'm easy turned off a design.
I really like facial markings, and a design that doesn't look too busy to me. Using colours that clash is never a good idea, but that's common with most people because they're eye-blinding X3 So yeah, nothing in particular, but I am picky.

Nah.
I really prefer to credit my art, but I don't mind a bit of a hunt, or just to say that I don't know if I really have to.
I mean, I tracked down all of Ajax's art myself so... I got the credit for those?

What palettes do you tend to like in an oc?
I tend to like brown or white palettes with a hint of color on it. I really just love natural colored animals but since there are only so many animals who's marking you label "simple" a bit of color adds to it.
Any features you see popping up among your oc's?
Neck and Bowties. And brownish coloring with a unnatural eye color.
Do you have a preferred way of obtaining oc's?
Flat sale on dA. Buying from others is nice, but then there is a higher chance of someone stealing it or the character you bought being stolen.

Scene hair that doesn't look well done. Too much blood and gore (bloody hanging off limbs with blood dripping from the mouth), anything based off of creepy things, characters that are too much of a reference or based off an already existing character (like a Pikachu colored dog).

Yes it does. As a (sorta) artist, it's upsetting when you see your art going around and no one knows who it's buy just because they person you gave it too was to lazy to say who it was by. It just leaves room for stolen goods, you know?

Yeah, I kind of hate it. I mean, it's understandable, especially if the character was owned by someone else, but I know that when I get a character and I don't know who a lot of the art is by, it makes me feel bad ;vv; And I'm not good at recognizing styles omg that doesn't help at all

I don't mind terribly, because either way, I have to track down artists to double check that the art was allowed to be traded with the character. Since I'm usually buying "hot off the press" characters with no art, this isn't usually a problem. I suppose if I was split between two chars and one had sourced art, and the other had unsourced art, I'd go with the sourced one. Even so, it's not that big a deal for me. I'm decent at style recognition, and I tend to buy characters from certain artist "groups" (i.e. Furry Paws, where it's a pretty tight-knit community of artists), so if I don't recognize the style/signature, more than likely, someone else will.
