It's not like anybody is legitimately going to breed them without the owners permission though.
I don't see the harm in asking if equids would look good together / produce a nice foal.

They are asking our opinion before they ask. They do ask. They just want a second opinion first. It is better than the reverse. If they asked for the slot first, and later decided they didn't want it because of negative feedback they would probably bother the owner of the other Equid.
