It's not like anybody is legitimately going to breed them without the owners permission though.
I don't see the harm in asking if equids would look good together / produce a nice foal.

/just my opinion though

They are asking our opinion before they ask. They do ask. They just want a second opinion first. It is better than the reverse. If they asked for the slot first, and later decided they didn't want it because of negative feedback they would probably bother the owner of the other Equid.

I agree with allmate, and it shouldn't truly matter what other people think about your breeding pair, it's YOUR equid breeding, not theirs. Everybody has different opinions on what they think about designs.

It's an occupational hazard of being an owner of an Equid. XP People should be happy that their Equids are admired so much that someone wants a breeding slot from them.
I personally would be a bit honored if my stally showed up on someone's list of Equids they liked, and would like permission to breed. (Not that he has open slots. Just an example.)

@Allmate. Personally, I'm quite pleased that someone actually likes one of my equids enough to want a foal from them, but that's just me. To each his or her own. ^.^ Like hachster54 stated, it is preferable to get some feedback before making decisions. If the owner of one of the equids is unhappy about it, then they can always just pm the person and ask them to remove it. It's that simple. No one is planning breedings, they're just thinking about it, not actually making it definite.

I come onto CS maybe once in a blue moon? So don't expect fast replies.
Pretty inactive nowadays as travelling the world keeps me pretty busy, but I'm here now and again for a yarn or even if you want a few pets? Feel free to make a one sided offer, although I retain my right to refuse or edit a trade if there is something I'd want to hold on to for memories sake.
WME herd.
Feel free to PM me if you're interested in adopting one.

*hides my head*

I was just trying to see if I was doing okay, I'm new here and still trying to learn the rules since there seem to be a lot of unspoken/untyped rules. For example, I'm still not sure how to get a breeding. Where does the artist post saying they're open?

I agree with this completely.

And congrats Twitch! Nice pairing! :D

@Pip: Some of the artists post here when they're open, some don't though and they only change it to say they're open on the breeding thread. Some also take breeding during livestreams at times.
