I was recomended to use it by a vet because my rats had breathing problems. It was safe for them to eat because of the wood in it.

About torn ears.. is there anything I CAN do?

as far as bedding goes I've been switching around trying to find what is best for my girls and I'm using up my bag of aspen for now but still dabbling around in the world of paper pellets and bedding, vs cloth bedding

If they are torn up from scratching the rats need to be treated for mites/lice.

If they are just from arguing with the colony, they should heal.

I don't think so. Eucalyptus is poisonus to humans... Get another answer, but I think it's hazardous.

Don't risk it, Eucalyptus is toxic to us and most other species as well, I think.
