So I Think It Might Be Best For Them To Be PTS.

They just sound like normal old rats. They do lose weight, what food do you give them?
Also HLD/HED is normal.
Please don't PTS, it really just sounds like it is old age.

Yeah, you should let them die naturally. Not induced!
They sound okay. Try giving them more food and keep them comfortable.

The ony time I had a rat PTS was when he had a tumor on his chest and it affect the way he walked and breathed, but your rats sound like they are just old and not reallly in pain. I wouldnt pts unless they are suffering.

I've had to have so many ratties PTS..... but if they are not suffering it's not right. PTS shouldn't be taken lightly at all.

Yeah, i've never had a rattie PTS, but my old cat was. It was very sad and as rachaelandrats said, not to be taken lightly. The rat's symptoms sound like old age, i'm sure there's no need for PTS this soon ;3

Hey rachaelandrats, I just wanted to tell you that I took Texas to the vet, it turns out he has dibetes, and is now on a strict diet, and meds. The good news is that he is not drinking so muxh, and is getting fatter and his fur is growing back :3
My first rat had diebetes, and she lived a while, so Texas will have a great life! Oh, and I have decided to add him as the newest member of my family, he is now my baby, I now have 8 Rattties, My first male! Thanx, for all your help!
