Lol. I'm sure I've seen a youtube video of something like that (I'll post a link if I find it again).

I'd certainly react the same. I mean, I did when I was young (I had wth all over my face)... the first rat I saw was a wild farm rat going about its rounds. Seriously, that one was huge (reminded me of the plump one in a Beatrix Potter tale), and not just because I was like, shorter than I am now. X'D

I got a fifth rat today.. <3

The chick had named her Seele, so Seele it is.

Poor thing was literally about to be snake food, but I talked mom and dad into buying her last minute. She's still a bit skittish, but I'm positive she'll warm up.

She looks almost exactly like Siber, one of my other rats =o except shades lighter.

Sib is a silvered black, Seel is more of a Cocoa color.

Hopefully I'll have pictures of my babies up soon. <33

and, with that said.. Sadie, my little amber.. has grown so much fft. Last week she was the same size as Seele is now, but.. she has doubled. She's so much lovier/cuddlier now, too. ^^

Congrats on your new baby <3 My parents will only let me have up to 3 at a time.. I have two ~ There is a pretty little PEW girl at the pet store near us, but my friend tryed to handle it and it screamed... Poor little thing :c So skittish..

I just got back from a three-day-long spring break vacation. I left my ratties with extra food and water, so they would be fine.

Well, they must have gotten lonely, because once they heard my voice coming over the threshold, they leapt up onto the wall of their barred cage and stuck their little noses throuhg, trying to get as close to me as they possibly could! They were so adorable... I held them, of course. lol
They even had food and water left over! Give them a little extra food,and you can safely leave them for a long weekend.

I think begging will make it worse. Try being like EXTRA responsible and do extra little things. Do all your chores. Easier said then done! Offer paying for it all yourself if you can. Believe me, in time your parents will cave in!

Indeed good advice, that's how I warmed my parents up to the idea of allowing me to keep rats. It worked, but it did take awhile (a good few months). Worth it in the end though. ^^
