Do you agree that the no-reply rule should be removed? Yes I do!
Brief description of your stance: Sometimes people will see a post on the TRT and it may be very similar/from the same person that sent them an extremely unfair trade. And you want to reply to it so bad but its against the rules. This is only a little bit of my opinion since it says only 1-2 sentences but you get my point...

Do you agree that the no-reply rule should be removed? Yes, definitely.
Brief description of your stance: The TRT was a lot more popular back when people could reply. It was also one of the most interesting things to do on the thread because we were actually communicating.
Now I feel very distant towards the other players, I don't even understand why do we rant there anymore, we just literally plop down a bad trade going like "Hey look. Something bad." and we can't even express our opinions about other peoples bad trades.
Also, some people rant about trades that are actually fair and noone can reply to them to tell them that.
I realise there are PM's for these things, but if it's public, some newbies might see it and find it useful aswell.

Hey again everyone. :) I know I still haven't updated the member list yet but I just wanted to say quickly that when I do I'm gonna start working on an agenda that will be put up along with the list of things we should work through. Here's a little of what I'm thinking about adding though:
- Rewriting rules
- What types of posts should/should not be allowed (e.g. NFT pets, showcase groups, demand trades, FTT rants)
- New rule to replace taking out the no-reply rule
- Reporting posts vs. replying to correct mistakes

These won't necessarily be in order (and this most likely won't be the order) but I'd like to tackle tough topics one at a time and set up a plan and maybe even making up a rough draft of a new front page for the TRT eventually. If you guys have any more topics you think should be added to what I just listed up there let me know! I might've missed something really important. :)
Have a good day y'all.

Okay so I was casually scanning the TRT as it is currently.
And I come across a few posts that annoy me so much I can't even...

I feel like there needs to be some rule against posting trades, saying "yeah i know it's slightly unfair but (insert reason sent here)"
guys pls
If you know it's unfair and the person cancelled and you're complaining about it, then why be annoyed..?
Okay sure you wanted them to add, but maybe they weren't interested.

I'm seeing a lot of those and that probably has nothing to do with this but that's just one reason I feel things may have gotten out of hand. People tend to want to reply to posts like those, which just creates arguments.

I get what you're saying. That's why I think we need to sort through what should and shouldn't be allowed to be ranted about. I've seen trades on there lately where the user starts off with "I sent this *link to unfair trade*" and they cancelled so rudely!" or something along those lines. They might not even know it's unfair honestly which is why a lot of people want to reply and point that out. If they know it's unfair then they probably shouldn't be ranting because they were the ones that sent the bad trade.
It gets kinda iffy trying to regulate every little thing like that but there really do need to be more clear-cut lines.
Have a good day y'all.

I think one rule should be that people have the right to cancel a trade too

I noticed a few people complaining how their overpay was turned down, some people just like their pets better

Thank you. Thank you. I really only think you should post a rant if:

      a) the person was rude
      b) the trade was unfair
      c) they broke your rules
      d) *insert another idea here, though I'm not sure*

I mean, when people get mad when others cancel their trade without a message... Uh, they can if they want. Sure, it seems rude, but recently with trading, it's better to not say anything than snap; it just gets you in trouble. :/
Cancelling without a message doesn't necessarily mean, "No, go away!" They just might not feel like talking. I know I don't when I'm in a foul mood.

Oh yes that too
I see that too
I know I cancel frequently when I don't like the overpay or when I just like my pet better.

And Patch, I'm the same.
Sometimes I don't feel like sending a message, other times I'm too annoyed to be able to cancel nicely.
There are reasons people do what they do.

I think we should address the FTT here too. I know I've had general rants about just the low quality of the FTT advice lately but I'm not sure that really belongs on the FTT unless it's tied directly to a trade. It's frustrating but I think it honestly really should be on the TTAY thread instead. Would you guys agree with that? I mean I would personally like to have it here more but to fit with the mods' regulations it seems like those might have to be moved.

d)if you've sent a private pm (asking if they'll accept something as its not clear in rules**), they read it, but dont reply? would that count as a rant?

what also annoys me is when players complain about their trade being cancelled without a message, its not like we HAVE to leave a message when one cancels the trade, some players even have rules they'll cancel trades without a message (regardless if a rule is broken)

i feel if you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all
