Do you agree that the no-reply rule should be removed? Yes.
Brief description of your stance: I agree that, while the arguments and such were getting out of hand, it's nice to be able to rant and feel like people are actually listening, and now that's just not possible. If we get to reply again, people could maybe offer helpful tips and such for attempting to prevent such trades from happening again. c:

And adding onto some previous posts;
I think also a lot of the problem was the way some people worded their...posts. For example, if someone did something against the rules, they were replied to instead of simply being reported, and some of those replies came off as a bit harsh.
I know I'm a sensitive person and that's happened to me a few times. Maybe that's just me. But if people worded their replies a bit more gently, that might have helped diffused situations where one user felt that they were wronged in some way. Because another thing that I'm guilty of is having a temper. And when people say things in a non-gentle way, it rubs me the wrong way and things happen.
So, yeah.
Dunno if this was at all helpful, but this is just how I feel about some of the old things that may have been reasons for the thread to get clamped down so tightly.

Brief description of your stance: I miss replying and getting replies,
I mean, I post them partially because I need to vent but also partially to feel like
someone listens and to share it with people.
Of course I understand that some people abused the Thread and that this
shouldn't be tolerated but if we're not allowed to carry on any kind of conversation
in that Thread, it becomes completely pointless and might as well be deleted completely.

YES

Brief description of your stance: I think that many rants give a false note of rarity. For instance I saw people rant when someone offered older pets for a quantity of new ones. And TRT was a good place to learn that those trades are actually fair, but only if someone is allowed to actually say so. Also like Fox Fire Rain said it feels good if someone replies even if it's just an "I feel your pain, look what I got."

What I dislike are replies like "OMG they must be stupid." or "I need to puke" or "I died inside".

Generally I think that is worse to talk fo death, puking ect. about an array of pixels than the kindly person saying "I got the same problem as you" or someone explaining why trades may be fair even IF not liked

I totally understand why the TRT made the rule, but honestly I think it may be a little too harsh.
When I did post on the TRT, I actually enjoyed seeing what other people thought of this trade. It
was interesting to me. But, I have to admit, when people just wrote things like, "MY EYES :what:",
was a little extreme. I do know though, when people posted trades I send on the TRT, I was embarrassed
and people were saying rude things about the trade and trade sender (me). I still think though, that the
no-reply rule should be removed. But should put a ban on dumb spam posts such as I said before. c:

Do you agree that the no-reply rule should be removed? (Y/N): YES all the way!
Brief description of your stance: you should be able to reply! If you see someone saying really bad stuff about somebody on the trade rant, you should be able to respond and tell them. I see so many people talking bad about each other ( they've talked about me), and I think that a lot of the players sending bad trades are new to CS.

Cashee, I agree with you. Spam posts like "My eyes!" or "Kill it with fire!" should definitely still be banned. But, like I said, as long as the responder has a rant of their own and can carry on a decent conversation without spam, replying to others should be okay.

no

There was a reason the rule was put into place.. if it's removed the same things will happen again.
The thread gets enough traffic as is, and all this would do is create more work for mods.
I'm sorry, but I don't see a point to having it removed

I see your point... Of course, there's the risk that the same thing will happen again, true.

But I think it's worth a try, everybody deserves a second chance right? Rule breakers should be told when they broke a rule and all posts should carry a rant, if reply or not. And of course, sentences like "MY EYES" or "Kill it before it lays eggs" should definitely be banned. That's my idea. ^^

I agree, just because the spam got out of hand is no reason to ban all forms of communication!
The rule should be changed from "No replying" to "No spamming (ex. "My eyes!")". I don't think it will be more work for the mods. There will always be rule-breakers, but we can simply report anyone who spams or argues, and it will be no different than how everyone who replies gets reported now. Because it still happens. This rule has stopped some of the spam, but not all of it, and allowing reasonable, mature users to discuss their trades with one another will not change that. If the mods were really concerned that the TRT gets too much traffic, they'd shut it down (which I hope they do not).

not only that, players still are not following rules, there are players who do of course follow them, but honestly if mods are able to watch the thread, and remove spam, they should remove the no rely ban, however still keep it within TRT limits, of course the "burn it with fire", or "omg my eyes are gonna pop out" things shouldnt be posted, even if you are ranting about a trade. "you may need new eyes and passes out eye buckets" is also not needed.

give us another chance at replying to rants as long as it follows rules and doesnt include any spam, if all your going to do is reply to the rant, and you have nothing to rant about, you cant reply to it.
